1st day in Japan after no sleep for about 30 hours! Stopped off here en route to the Skytree as it had good reviews. Greeted by a very smart lady in a kimono, with "English Menu" great I thought they speak English. That was the only English they spoke. Can't really complain about that though. Wanted Unagi as I'd not tried it before. Was very happy with the meal and service, the waitress could not have been nicer. I only wish I was staying closer, I'd have gone again, it was one of my favourite meals of the holiday.

Found this by accident (close to samurai museum). Super friendly staff (unlike some reviews here: they so speak enough English) and they take their time to explain and recommend. Traditional atmosphere, minimalist and elegant. Family business with long history well kept. Food was carefully prepared and presented. I had a Osaka Unagi dish. Try the green spices that comes with it. Delicious!

Bad attitude through phone calls. I tried to call them and asked whether they can communicate in English. The woman from the phone said “No, no, no.” And hanged up my line. Unexpectedly terrible rude service.. I would NEVER EVER recommend any friends of mine to have unagi there.

I would rather take another shop nearby...
