Yi Jia Kopitiam 一家 （Wisma Merdeka) — Restaurant in Borneo

I was lucky enough to make it before it closed at 4pm. I would have regretted it if I didn't get to taste their wonderful beef noodle.

The broth was thick with flavour, warm and soothing. Just nice for a cold and wet day in Kota Kinabalu. They were very generous with the beef, tendon and other parts. The vermicelli soaks up the broth well yet still doesn't feel soggy.

Coincidentally I got to try another beef noodle / Ngiu Chap from a famous restaurant nearby in Jalan Gaya. I found that Ngiu Chap couldn't hold a candle against this one.

Yi Jia Kopitiam's broth tasted all natural and I didn't feel thirsty after finishing every single drop of the soup.

Food was good but the staffs spoil the environment, staffs should be more friendlier.. they spoke in their language (my husband iis a cino/Filipino so he understands what they were saying) and told her colleague not to help take other culteries for them just because I asked help for an empty spare plate and did not notice it was at the culteries area..food was really good but that experience spoiled our brunch with the family..hope this issue would be solved or I'm sure more will feel this bad...

First time visit, had a great dining experience. Waitresses were friendly and helpful. One of them helped me kept an eye of my belongings when I was taking utensils.

Food was served quick, probably within 15mins.

Ordered fresh fish Tomyam meehoon and added on a cup of cincau susu. Soup was amazing, prefer for rainy days! Meanwhile, their cincau susu was too sweet for me. If I were to order it again, I would request less sugar one.

Will come back for more if I’m in Wisma...
