Overated Eatery

This eatery appears to have an undeserved reputation, as it consistently pops up when searching for "sup ikan" on Google Maps. However, my initial impression left much to be desired, with a rather discourteous response when requesting a baby chair for self-service.

Once the dish arrived, I must admit it looked appealing on the surface. However, the taste didn't live up to the presentation. The fish was disappointingly lacking in freshness, rating a mere 6 out of 10 on the freshness scale. The soup, while bearing the shop's sweet-sounding name "甜甜," was sweet in an artificial way, devoid of any genuine flavors from fish, tomato, or other natural ingredients one would expect.

In summary, this eatery falls into the realm of mediocrity. On the plus side, it's conveniently located in Wisma Merdeka and offers a relaxed atmosphere with reasonable seating space. The pricing is also a noteworthy highlight, with a sup ikan bowl priced at just...

This fish head noodle shop is "hidden" on the 6th floor in Wisma Merdeka phase 2 away from the main traffic flow in the mall. The only way to get here is by lift. For today's lunch, I ordered a dried mee with a mix of fish fillet and fish paste soup on the side at RM 11. They have 3 options of broth i.e. bitter gourd, salted vegetable and I can't remember the third one :-p Mine was salted vegetable. Their fish has always been very fresh and so was this visit. However the mee was different from the usual one they used to serve. The previous type of mee was curly and springy to bite. Today's mee was "straighter" so its texture was less interesting. The broth was flavourful with minimal...

Visited on Saturday morning. Uncle was very friendly, recommended what to order. Fish head milky soup - 4/5 soup tasty, however can taste frozen fish. Konlou mee chicken chop - 5/5 noodles springy, 南乳(fermented bean curd) chicken very good. Kopi taste good. Will be back to try other food next time. Take elevator up to 6th floor, turn...
