I stayed at this hotel for six nights, and one of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet. The variety of food offered was impressive and changed daily, ensuring a fresh experience every morning. The options included a mix of Western and Asian dishes, such as noodles, fried rice, salads, porridge, bread, fresh fruits, and desserts. Beverages like coffee, tea, and other hot and cold drinks were also available. While some dishes were average in flavor, others were delicious and perfectly suited my taste. I appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of lighter and healthier options, as well as more indulgent treats for those with a sweet tooth. The rotating menu helped keep the breakfast exciting throughout my stay, and it was nice to see something new to try each day. The seating area was spacious and comfortable, making it a pleasant place to start the day. Overall, the breakfast buffet added value to my stay, offering a convenient and enjoyable dining experience each morning. This, coupled with the hotel’s generally well-maintained facilities, made for a satisfactory experience.

Fair sized room and it was clean as well. Water pressure was good. There's a minibar hidden in the cupboard. However, it does give out vibes showing that this hotel is abit aged and I also felt that the lighting in the room was a bit too dim. Table lamp was not working as well. WiFi speed is okay. Service was splendid and the bellboy was attentive when I need him to clear the cones and barriers at the car park. Parking was really limited but I managed to secure one. Costs RM5 per night. The best part is this hotel is strategically located next to Suria Sabah (across the road) and few other attractions such as the waterfront, Sinsuran Market, Pasar Besar KK, seafoods and also to Gaya Street, all are at walking distances.

The location is great. Strategic. You can get to the waterfront, walking around 5 minutes. And right in the front, you have a shopping complex that serves everything from fast food to groceries. The hotel is old. Having said that, they try. Reception was friendly, even the doorman. The rooms were definitely old. The bathrooms need a refurbishment. The water pressure is good. The bed was rather old. The pillow had an odour. That's the sad part. The view was definitely great. Seaview with activities going on. The breakfast served was quite mediocre. The restaurant staff were friendly. The location of the restaurant is great. Sea view at the balcony.

Starting off, I stayed here with my family of 4 in a double queen bed room. The room was spacious but so outdated, like in what world do we live in right now? The 2000s? If you want to time travel back 2 decades then I'd recommend staying here! The room had this stench to it and I presume it was from the bed sheets. Not to mention, they don't even bother to provide some of the usual amenities. Like c'mon now, no kettle? And the iron board was basically broken we had to ask for a new board! We had no problems with our bathroom but you can see people complaining about their experiences with unclean bathrooms. All in all, this hotel severely needs a revonation to their rooms/interior and a big improvement with their management! The room was awful!

For people staying while bringing their cars, I heard you have to book and pay for parkings but I am not so sure if it is always like that. Parking-wise, I think this hotel would not be for you as it is simply a nuisance and no guarantee for car safety. You'd be better off staying at other establishments with better parking systems.

On the bright side of things, we arrived quite late in the middle of the night from our flight but the staff attending to us were so nice, friendly and helpful! We felt super welcomed. The lobby service was amazing and the workers were extremely kind and helped the best they could.

The location is very convenient and this is probably whats keeping this hotel alive, it is directly infront of one of Kota Kinabalu's well-known malls and all we had to do was cross the road to reach there! You can even walk to the seafood places nearby if you wanted to.

Overall, if it were not for the god awful room this would have at least been a 4 star hotel. Rating it 3 stars even feels kind of generous. I recommend staying here if you want the convenience of having places a walk away from where...

great room. strategically located. next to a shopping mall. we received a very warm welcome from the bellman named 'earl'. his service is top notch! surely an asset to the hotel. check in was okay. stayed for 4 days. the 2nd day, (morning) i approached the front desk. i was asking for help, need them to type and print 'drop your business card'. just a simple request, i was willing to pay. the receptionist seem to take it as a 'heavy duty task' for them. the FO manager maria or marina is extremely rude. she said she will charge rm1 with bad intonation. she let a huge sigh while typing the simple sentence. she was reluctant to help us. with a grumpy look, she gave me the piece of paper and i gave her rm1. i said thankyou, she didn't even look at me. didn't say anything, she maybe felt like we were just burdening them. she has a bad temper, scolding her staff right in front of guest. i dont know how the management let her manage the front office with that attitude. i suggest the management to send her to a psychiatrist and check her mental state. she seems too angry and emotional. not suitable in the hospitality business. habibah the HK...
