I’m not one to write reviews or complain about an establishment but Ciccio’s RUINED my night. Coming from an FnB background every aspect of the place is in total shambles. Please let me tell you why.
THE SERVICE
It was clear that the service/floor crew were not given proper sectors to cover hence the floor crew was all over the place like headless chickens, no one knew where and what orders were taken or sent out.( mind you it was not a full house ) one of the waiters even had the audacity to raise a silencing hand to my partner when she wanted to ask a question just because she was overwhelmed. My questions regarding food took forever to be answered and honestly, for a place of “ high regard” it was sub par.
THE FOOD
So i ordered a Carbonara whilst my partner ordered the Branzino Linguine. Online it mentioned that my carbonara was to be served with pancetta but to my disappointment i was served bacon which is still acceptable. What wasn’t acceptable was that my carbonara was served to me COLD, with the plate lukewarm. Not only that, i could taste a strong egg yolk aroma which was disgusting and the pasta was pretty bland. The linguine my partner had was extremely oily and for a so called “best seller” it was also equally disappointing.
THE DRINKS
We were recommended the Thyme Sour which was their “specialty”, so I had high hopes and expectations that it would be a well-layered beverage with an array of flavors that’ll greet my palette. Surprise surprise! The drink came to us with sunken garnish, it tasted absolutely bitter and FLAT. When i questioned the barman whether it was supposed to taste flat, he said YES! Followed by a weak justification of the ingredients put into the beverage causing it to be flat. Wow, for a special drink to be served flat, Ciccio’s got some nerve. Needless to say we didn’t finish it.
THE MANAGER
EGAD, An absolutely cocky chap, he parades around the establishment in inappropriate attire that clearly makes him stand out like a sore thumb and better yet he can loudly state that he only serves the wine. What an absolute joke of a manager. He reprimands the crew harshly, doesn’t tend to guests in a proper manner and honestly, “get off your high horse mate.”
To put it simply, I will NEVER return to Ciccio’s. It was an absolutely DISAPPOINTING and DISMAL experience. The thing that made my night better was heading over to Pincho’s for a much much...
Read moreDecided to have a nice week end with the whole Changkat vibe, gotten there cause of the high rating. End up with an unpleasant experience. The standard doesn’t met expectation. Really disappointed from hospitality, food and customer services. The only things that are more appealing is the design of that place are cosier around Changkat area. . .
Replies to the comment: LOL I did not said that wasn’t my type of food. And….. WHAT… I did tried the food that have been served. Who ever that are replying are hilarious. Did you asked if my friend likes the meal? Can’t she be hungry from a late dinner and was not even bother to have any unnecessary conflict, thats somehow what happened.
If I complain the food you take it personally and not take it as an advice it’s clearly unprofessional.
Was recommend by the server for appetiser, ordered calamari and melon with prosciutto . Even though the ham is obviously store bought, That was fine no complains. After then ordered a main course that was a Frozen barramundi that are tough and sauce are bland served with aluminium foil wrapped around basket of frozen fish. Told the server that I doesn’t like the meal and she replied “so” then I advised her to bring the matter up to the supervisor/manager No one in charged show up and was told that I can order something else. I told her that I will have a review since I have politely told the server it’s bad. So I decided to not have the meal there since it already spoiled my appetite and also had some of the most un logical services from them. Only then the server came over to told me that they will take out the charge on for the plate of aluminium wrapped frozen bland “sea bass”. The person that went have no comment and told that it’s soso and it’s also already late dinner. Come on, the argument that was reply was hilarious. That awful replies from you. Will definitely lost more diner in the future. “Keep on with that ridiculous attitude and hospitality.” Just because I doesn’t like the FISH they served . . . The supervisor seems very confuse. Even paying the bill, the manager are very...
Read moreWe stumbled onto this Italian restaurant on bukit bintang area, a bit outside the busy bars/cafes street offering “happy hour drinks”. Don’t fall for it as these are subjected to terms and conditions after you’re sited, such as; ladys only, only margaritas, between 21:00-21:30, upstairs only, etc.
When we were looking at the menu, we overheard conversations in Italian, so I thought Italians in an Italian restaurant in a typical Asian street in KL…? This must be good! And we were not disappointed; great food, great ambiance, great staff and excellent service. The owner (Italian gentleman) said that he had this restaurant almost 25 years. The pizza, pasta and cocktails were fantastic. Well presented, modest portions. We love the pizza base and the carbonara… He even provided candles and a special decoration as it was my daughter’s birthday; he and the staff even sang “happy birthday” for her…! We really enjoyed our dinner, recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Italian food in an Italian ambiance in the middle of...
