Jamaica Blue @ Robertson — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Terrible coffee. We ordered flat whites, when the coffee came it already didn't look very much like a flat white (see picture enclosed, that's exactly how the coffee looked like when it arrived). The milk has pieces of curdle floating around on the surface of the coffee, which makes us wonder what kind of milk are they actually using and is it within its best before date? One sip and we confirmed, the coffee was burnt and tasted reused, the milk poured in with not the slightest bit of froth.it tasted like a mixture of watered down coffee and dirt.

Our food took almost half an hour to be served albeit it just being an avocado mash and a big breakfast. It didn't taste great either.

Most importantly was the lack of hygiene. The cashier staff had his mask covering his chin and partially his mouth. The kitchen staff didn't even bother putting on a mask (see picture proof)! He strutted out of the kitchen and served us our breakfast. When we left we peaked through the little kitchen window and confirmed that all kitchen staff didn't have any masks on nor were they wearing any gloves.

We googled for a breakfast place and this seemed like a good choice. On pictures it looks great, but don't fall for that. We were fooled by its appearance and that kinda ruined the morning, never again. Pity though, so much potential for this cafe but zero management and...

Amazing experience here the other day. Ordered a cafe latte which was perfect to go along with eggs florentine with smoked salmon. The latte was perfectly balanced and creamy. The coffee they use is so smooth in taste and not overly powered and had hints of nuts and chocolate.

I really enjoyed the egg dish :) Great hollandiase, well-poached eggs and good quality smoked salmon. I was surprised at how the salmon wasn't too salty because that is understandably the case with all smoked salmons but this one was perfect!!

And last but not least, I loved the service here. Arif was amazing at customer service and should be commended for his helpfulness and kindness. He was very friendly and shared a bunch of good information with me about his home country of Malaysia. He said he worked previously in hotels and you could definitely tell because his hospitality and welcoming-nature was really memorable. This restaurant has an amazing employee in Arif and he should be recognized for what he does :)

Food was 5 stars, service was 5 stars, and atmosphere was 5 stars - overall just a very enjoyable experience Jamaica Blue...

Warm Ambience, Decent Bites—but Service Needs a Wake-Up Call

Dropped by this breakfast café recently, drawn in by its cozy setup and inviting menu. The food was decent—nothing groundbreaking, but satisfying enough to start the day. Prices were in line with KL city standards, so no surprises there.

However, the atmosphere leaned a little too warm for comfort. Not sure if the air-conditioning was off or if ventilation was lacking, but within 10 minutes I found myself sweating—not ideal when you're trying to enjoy a morning meal.

The biggest letdown, though, was the service. Despite only three tables being occupied, it took nearly 10 minutes and two reminders before a waiter finally attended to us. The lack of attentiveness was hard to ignore and definitely dampened the experience.
