Read moreI attended Yu Wagashi's nerikiri wagashi experience workshop lately and absolutely enjoyed it. I was only interested in buying some to eat when I was searching on Google for a place, but discovered they're offering classes for making nerikiri wagashi at different level and decided to give it a try.
The space for workshop was comforting and welcoming, the number of participants was 6 during my visit. For someone who has attended quite a number of workshops like this, I feel like this is a good amount of participants, and the instructor was also very attentive and friendly in guiding everyone throughout the process.
For the experience workshop, the ingredients and tools are all prepared, you can just come empty handed and just experience and enjoy the process of making nerikiri wagashi, with two pieces with different designs that you can take home the end of the day.
I'd recommend the experience workshop for anyone who's interested in learning how to make nerikiri wagashi at an entry level that doesn't want to go through the process of preparing the ingredients, tools and making the dough. It's a fun experience, and a very calming one with a friendly and...

Ordered my CNY wagashi gift sets previously — all were so unique, adorable, meticulously crafted, had a range of flavors & delicious (not too sweet)! Delivery was on time & my family was so happy receiving them ;)
Last weekend, we for their daifuku & matcha latte, all my friends were in love with the consistency and texture! My friend and i had joined their beginner wagashi class and it was such a lovely experience as well. Instructor was so patient, detailed, and showed us the tips & tricks used for crafting wagashi — it was indeed a great hands-on experience. As the class had only 6 pax, the instructor was able to provide full attention to each person’s questions and assisted accordingly. We had a lot of practice and spent about 3.5hours for the first class and every minute was so worth it! There’s no hard-selling involved 🙌🏻 Managed to make 4 adorable wagashi’s to be taken home ☺️
I’m not a crafty person but would totally see myself coming back to join subsequent classes...
