Booked the Santapan room package for my dad for two nights and the buffet came with the package. Even though some of the food offerings were similar, somehow the dinner buffet tonight (Monday night) was tastier and had more Malay desserts than last night (Sunday). Pros: thick sashimi, Indian food, salad and Malay desserts Cons: the tempura shrimp took forever to come out and some selfish guests took more than they should. The executive chef (big, fat White guy) manning the grill was rude and sarcastic when I asked for a piece of roasted chicken. Speaking of rude attitude, I observed three rude chefs speaking to the customers in a demeaning manner, myself included. This is the only restaurant I’ve been to where the chefs are allowed to show their anger at their customers. The guests that came in tonight were mostly partaking in company dinners and had no manners: no queueing, pushed to go to the front of the line, overloaded their plates with the rare dishes like sashimi and shrimp tempura…seriously, the kids who frequented the buffet yesterday had more manners than the so-called adults today. Other than the unpleasant observation of ill-mannered people (chefs and customers alike), we had a good dinner and the staff who manned our table (#39) were very pleasant and helpful. They even provided a birthday cake to my dad- kudos to them and Ms Arbaa at the front desk for the great service! I probably won’t ever come back to this restaurant on the basis of the whole unpleasantness of getting jostled by impatient diners and having to deal with chefs who have anger management problems.

It’s clear that this restaurant is poorly managed. The long queues at the counter were a sign of disorganization. Their focus on maximizing profits was evident, as they placed tables and chairs along the lift waiting area, which felt inappropriate and uncomfortable. We started dining at around 6:50 PM when the restaurant wasn’t particularly crowded. By the time we finished our meal around 8 PM, one of the waiters had approached us to inquire about the food and service. We expressed our dissatisfaction with being seated in the corridor. The waiter explained that the restaurant had overbooked and had no choice but to place us there—a clear failure in management. Throughout the hour-plus we were there, we noticed three round tables inside the restaurant remained unoccupied. When we asked, the staff explained that these tables were reserved, but the guests hadn’t shown up. Instead of canceling the reservation and seating us properly, they chose to leave those tables empty while keeping us in an awkward and uncomfortable spot, which is along the lift corridor (refer to picture). This reflects a lack of willingness to adapt and improve the dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re in a small group, as they seem to prioritize filling prime spots with larger parties. According to the waiter, we could also be seated approximately 70–80 steps from the main dining area, which was far from ideal. Overall, food was just so so. Oysters are not fresh, salmons were not replenish often.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the iftar buffet at Latest Recipe, and I must say, it was a truly fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated, with a warm and inviting ambience that made me feel right at home. But of course, the real star of the show was the food. The buffet offered a wide variety of dishes, ranging from traditional Malay cuisine to international favourites and everything in between. Each dish was expertly prepared and presented, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Some of my personal favourites included the succulent roasted lamb, the flavourful biryani rice, and the delectable seafood dishes. But really, every dish I tried was delicious and satisfying, with a perfect balance of flavours and textures. And of course, no iftar buffet would be complete without an array of sweet treats to indulge in. The dessert selection at Latest Recipe did not disappoint, with a mouth-watering assortment of cakes, pastries, and traditional Malay sweets to choose from. Overall, I would highly recommend the iftar buffet at Latest Recipe, Le Meridien Putrajaya. The quality of the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the attentive service all came together to create a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking to break your fast with family and friends or simply enjoy a delicious meal, this buffet is not to be missed.

Positive - staff service quality was excellent despite the crowd, polite and always with a smile. Used plates were fast to clear (too fast on some occasions), overall nothing to fault with the front of house staff. Parking redemption made easy over the cashiers.

Negative - Had the lunch buffet a few years ago and remembered the buffet with huge selections and good quality ingredients.

Immediately as we enter the restaurant I could sense the frenzy but to be expected seeing its a buffet so I soldier on. Had the buffet dinner yesterday at RM208/pax however noticed a significant dropped in buffet selections and food quality. Top highlights. crackers provided with the cheese where similar to Lexus crackers. cooked prawn dishes use small frozen shrimps. only 2 prawn dishes were available, tempura prawn and precooked prawns over ice. roasted lamb is dry as sawdust. teppanyaki beef very tough. parts of salmon sashimi that were not intended to be serve were served, ie. the veiny grey part of the fish. malay station overly salty, especially beef rendang and chicken. roti dough not cooked. ice lemon tea does not taste like ice lemon tea. sesame ball not cooked. red bean soup dessert tasted like boiled red beans added into overly sweet water. Didn't bother trying everything but what I tried was bad.

Within 10 mins of dining it was apparent to us that this was nothing of a 5 star hotel standard, in fact nothing even close to 3 star hotels. It was a far cry from my dining experience years ago.

The restaurant's customers were mainly club marriot customers which were completely fine as I myself was one of it, however to charge walk-in rm208/pax and even with the club marriot discount it was a horrible dining experience. It felt to me that the management intentionally reduced the quality of the buffet so to cater for club marriot customers as they would unlikely to complain given the huge discount. I felt like it was a scam to even be charging at this level of food quality.

Safe to say I would NOT return to Latest Recipe and I NOT be renewing my membership with club marriot. This is definitely the nail...

It was a mad rush for breakfast buffet as I arrived there with my friend at 9.50am and it closes at 1030am. I was hoping to get a quick bite to fill our morning tummies before we head back into the city for out holiday. We were on a "tourist in your own city" excursion. I suggested Le Meridien's Latest Recipe not because of it's review. To be truthful, i hardly read any but my heart was rooting for Hilton. But we ended up at Latest Recipe. Upon arriving at the lobby, we look rather rushed but everyone who saw us took it upon them to greet us Good Morning! That itself is so welcoming and then we reached the Latest Recipe and the Manager told us we have less then 30 minutes to eat and well that's the objective. Fill our tummies only. But the moment we got to taste the food, although we know its been served since early morning, it caught us by a pleasant surprise.... its like just cooked. at 10am, Nasi Lemak is still steamy and pile up a hill, warm and soft rice, the Rendang Ayam was HEAVENLY and that is one reason I intend to visit again for lunch and from a tummy filling exercise, I savour every dish I took from the buffet line. The sausages were excellent and they serve frankfurters too..I mean...the effort to make frankfurters! There was a whole roasted chicken, yet to be carved. Sushi, Congee, Dim Sum, and a Health Section of fresh fruits, meuslies and the list goes on....I can rant on but please make it a MUST TRY and try me by this tip, be nice, very nice to the staff there and you shall too be pleasantly surprised and rewarded. They understand, they welcome and truly, a service..no not service...a gesture of true hospitality that warrants return upon return! Kudos to Andy, Dinesh and Salim! You made it...

Went for Christmas Eve dinner 2022 (which is today, 24th December 2022) with my partner.

There was a staff bring us to our table when we arrived. While we just sat down, there was another staff (the only male staff who wear green shirt) brought another guests to their table while passing through our table. The staff stopped beside our table and give us a weird face and brought the guests to the table which was just infront our table.

After that, the staff came to our table and told us: “This table was supposed to be their seat.” We are so surprised about the attitude of the staff especially his tone, like scolding us sitting wrong place. Cannot believe a five star hotel staff will have such rude attitude towards their customer. I didn’t get angry at first and telling him back that is the staff (the male staff who wearing blazer) brought us to this seating and we are not simply sit somewhere else as we like.

However, he just walked away while I’m telling him the true picture half way! He just WALKED AWAY without listening to us! The issue is your staff brought us to wrong seating and why we should be treated by another staff with such rude attitude.

With common sense, he can just inform us we sat at wrong place and help rearrange both group of guests to the correct seating. Why he can’t do this but just told us we sat at wrong place?

I solved the situation myself by telling the guests who sat infront of us, SORRY that we sat at their seating and we can change with them. Why I should need to say sorry which the issue is not created by us?

It is very unpleasant dining experience and ruined our...
