Menu-4.5ā Western only chop/pasta and tea cafe theme. Chicken chop, cheese baked rice, typical pasta and breakfast croissant & cake and ice cream for desserts. However, they have roasted chicken breast meal, Also, they served snacks like hashbrown, fried potato stick, chicken pop corn and type of shrimp fries. As for beverage, besides coffee and tea, they serves fruit juice and coke or 100+. The overall theme is more breakfast and tea time but no other flavour than west.
Food-4.5ā I ordered the roasted chicken breast. Well seasoned and nicely cooked. The meat is tender and not dry. The spices are on point as im ordered Hawaiian flavour. But the mashed potato comes together is kind of plain, there is not even light seasoned, but is suitable for elderly. Salad on the order hand is more like a decoration than sides. I don't like the mushroom soup, the herbs used is quite strong and the soup is not tasty when not hot. So must finish it once served.
Price-3.5ā Typical western food is quite high, same as this shop. Chop start from RM25+, even fruit juice is RM10+. As for the portion, like all other classy western restaurant, medium-small size.
Atmosphere-3ā The design is like fairy tales cafe, kids will like it much. The ambient is bright, so is more suitable for day time. Feel little weird for dinner time. I like the food presentation, is clean and very western. Golden cuterly. Given a European feeling.
I would give it 4th teir, which is come here if don't have planning. No doubt the food is nice, but not suit for single person, is more likely for family with kids or date on lunch and...

We ordered two Aglio Olio Chicken Ham pastas at Mc Qanteens in Kuala Lumpur, and they were absolutely awful. The taste was horrible ā extremely spicy and just unpleasant overall. We politely told the waitress that we didnāt like the dishes and asked if we could change them for something else.
After trying the food themselves, the staff admitted they had changed the stock and hadnāt noticed the issue. Instead of replacing the dish, they said they would just mix it with more plain spaghetti to reduce the strong, spicy flavor. They brought the dish back ā and it still tasted BAD.
We told them again that we didnāt want to eat it and didnāt think we should pay for something we werenāt going to eat. They refused to offer any solution and made us pay for both plates, even though we clearly told them the food was inedible.
The customer service was absolutely terrible, and this is honestly the worst restaurant experience Iāve ever had. No respect, no accountability, no basic courtesy. Do not waste your money...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo far, I've been to Mc.Qanteens twice. Weird name aside, being inside this place feels like being in a life-sized version of a Sylvanian Family doll house.
The reason I have been here twice despite Lalaport having tons of eateries is that the set meals here are a pretty good deal. I won't say the food is fantastic but it gets my vote for value for money.
The 2 person set we ordered came with 2 different mains - an Aglio Olio spaghetti and a grilled chicken chop. They also come with drinks and a pretty interesting looking fried shrimp starter in a shot glass.
Service was quick although the place was quite empty on a weekday evening.
The place also had a wide selection of pastries and desserts that looked really good. Unfortunately, we were a bit too full both times to give them a try. Perhaps next time.
Last but not least, I have to comment that the place does offer a free cash voucher for patrons that gives the place a 5* review on Google. My review was not influenced by the reward and although I am giving the Mc. Qanteens 5*, I did not...
