I recently had the pleasure of enjoying the breakfast buffet at Vasco’s for two days, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. The spread was beautifully laid out, offering a perfect balance of international favorites and local delights. The food was outstanding, not just in taste, but also in quality and presentation.
From flaky, fresh pastries to perfectly cooked eggs made to order, every item was prepared with care. The fresh fruit was vibrant and sweet, and the live cooking stations added a personal touch and a bit of theatre to the meal. The variety was equally impressive, with something to satisfy every palate.
A few standout dishes for me were the paper dosa (perfectly crisp with a light hint of sweetness), açaí berry smoothie (a rare and welcome find at any hotel buffet), in-house grown salad (incredibly fresh!), chocolate croissant (dangerously good!), comforting miso soup, and curry chicken. The only slight letdown was the two varieties of teh tarik, which were a tad too sweet and diluted for my taste.
What truly sets Vasco’s apart is the attention to detail and the pride the team clearly takes in their work. You can see the chefs regularly checking on dishes, making sure everything stays fresh and beautifully presented, an effort that genuinely elevated the entire experience.
I’ve tried breakfast buffets at Pavilion Hotel, JW Marriott, and the Ritz-Carlton in Kuala Lumpur, but Vasco’s outshines them all in both quality and variety. The service was just as memorable—attentive, warm, and always delivered with a smile. Plates were cleared efficiently, all without ever feeling rushed.
The ambiance was warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light. That said, it can get a bit noisy, especially during busy mornings when many come in for business breakfasts. Still, the overall atmosphere remains pleasant and energetic.
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing start to your day or a hearty meal before work, Vasco’s delivers a breakfast buffet that hits all the right notes. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to start their day on...
Read moreIt was a disaster buffet from a 5 stars hotel. I understand the CMCO - Conditioned Movement Control Order (partial lockdown) impacted the business and hotel may need to limit the choice of food for the buffet to reduce waste. BUT please ensure QUALITY food provide. Hilton provided padat malam (night market) food quality but charge premium! Picture attached were all the food serve on Oct 22, 2020. All the waiters totally Q attentive and not helpful. I stood at the restaurant entrance for 1 min to get assistance. (It's Hilton, not 3 star hotel) No envelope given to keep the mask. As a 5 star hotel, you may want to promote green but you have to tell the customer too. (btw, Hilton is not promoting green). I believe it's a standard for the waiter to inform the customer how to order the buffet as it's different from the previous buffet style. My last visit was table buffet due to CMCO. Now they changed to self service but the chef will serve the food at each of the food counter. The waiter didn't bother to inform at all. However, the chef at food counter were attentive and helpful. If it's self service, I think the waiter should remind customer to wear mask when leave the table. I saw customers came in with mask pulled down and 1 no mask when left the table (I supposed he forgot) but Non of the waiter stop this! Disaster food choice and quality as mentioned above. Hilton Emphasize clean stay but take a look at the stainlessness steel pot (milk for coffee) on the dining table during breakfast, it was dirty with all the water stain, and they don't change it. Means the next customer will see the same stainless steel pot, it seems like Hilton is promoting Covid-19 spread. Again, it took me another 1 min to wait for someone to attend to me at cashier counter.
Hilton KL is definitely NOT qualified as 5 star hotel for sure. 3 star is more...
Read moreTis is the WORST buffet i ever had. It not even can be called as a buffet, it's a mere lousy food fair.
Lack of food choice, chinese food only have about 5 choices, included STEAMED RICE (mushy yongtaufu & carrot cake, oily beef rib soup, noodles, and stir fried brocoli), 3-4 malay food, indian food. Sushi is only have 3 choices. Grilled chicken have to wait 45mins for it, and the butter fish is extremely salty. The pizza was extreemly pity, jus a few pieces.
NO SEAFOOD❗NO PASTA❗NO PIE❗
Dessert. Which is the most RIDICULOUS part. They provide cheap biscuit and choco stick (those in big boxes, and sell in variety shop), which u can buy from outside RM20-30 FOR at least 1KG. Their ICECREAM which is POTONG👍 (you can buy 50cent for one )and only have 2 choices (yam and durian). NO CAKE ❗NO DOUGNUT ❗NO TAUFUFA❗ NO TONGSHUI❗
SERVICES. I been KL HILTON for the last few year, this is the first time i get this standard of service. When i ask for the staff to prepare the teabeg, which present on the rack. One malay guy giving me unhappy face with rude manner, ask me to do it my own. Btw couldn't even find a staff to get tissue, standing at the bar there to wait for 10 mins for one tissue🌚🌚. When i asking for the snack and food, the staff there gave me an annoy face, and rude attitude. Even the operating manager call NOOR👍doing the same thing.
