My favourite Hainanese kopitiam near Jonker has a new noodle stall!
Great addition for people who are keen for some warm comfort food early in the morning, this couple sells laksa and yeekiawmee at Lung Ann!
The laksa is not creamy santan-ish like the typical nyonya laksa, but more of those traditional wet market kind, I love it! The aroma is fragrant, not too lemak. Yeekiawmee, as usual I ordered white sauce with no taugeh, surprisingly the gravy is not heavy on sesame oil/soy sauce, it's quite "chng", mix with the sambal, it's quite settling especially as a first meal in the morning, not too savoury!
Do drop by for some hot piping noodles if you're round the corner! Sometimes boss can be quite overwhelmed with the orders so the preparation may take time, don't come with a hungry tummy!
Or maybe you can indulge in traditional Hainanese coffee, toast and nasi lemak while you're waiting! If you like coffee or tea that is gao, this is a good place for some chit chat (like all the old uncle aunties with newspaper early morning)..
However, as they are severely lacked of hands (boss and ladyboss are old),...
