My recent visit to the Roti Naan and Tandoori Restaurant in Melaka was a delightful experience, and I can't help but rave about the delicious and tasty dishes they serve. This restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone seeking authentic Indian cuisine. The star of the show, undoubtedly, was the Chicken Tandoori. The tandoor-cooked chicken was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor. The smoky, charred edges added a delightful depth to each succulent piece. This dish alone is a reason to visit the restaurant. But the delights didn't stop there. The menu offered a variety of options to cater to different tastes. The Butter Chicken was a creamy, tomato-based delight that paired perfectly with the warm and fluffy Roti Naan. The combination was simply heavenly. For those looking for something different, the Fried Fish and Chicken Vindaloo were excellent choices. The fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of spices to tantalize the taste buds. The Chicken Vindaloo, on the other hand, brought a spicy kick that was perfectly balanced with the rich, tangy sauce. The service at the restaurant was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. As for the pricing, it was reasonable for the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. You definitely get value for your money here. In summary, the Roti Naan and Tandoori Restaurant in Melaka is a culinary gem. From the mouthwatering Chicken Tandoori to the flavorful Butter Chicken, and the diverse menu options, it's a haven for lovers of Indian cuisine. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a tasty, authentic Indian meal in Melaka.

A hidden gem in Malacca. The restaurant is slightly outside the Historical City centre, but worth the hunt. We were recommended this by some of the barbers in Malacca that we were getting a haircut from, and what an experience it was. The only regret we had was not thinking to have our meal outside with everyone else as the sun was setting and the air was warm. Moving onto the food, we ordered a chicken biryani, lamb biryani, tandoori chicken, cheese naan and a butter naan, which both came with a dhaal/lentil soup to dip the naans in. Some of the best food we'd had all trip. The biryanis were stunning and flavourful, the tandoori chicken was as expected, nicely paired with mint, and lastly, the naans were to die for. If I were to redo it, I would consider swapping the tandooris as the meal could've benefit from a more-curry based/liquid dish. Would I go again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely. Do I think about the naan from time to time? Has me wishing to revisit Malacca just for this meal. TDLR: Some of the best food had in SEA. Flavourful and tasty. Best naan had across many countries. Little outside the historical city. Lovely people serving. 10/10 experience!

Recommended by a friend, we came here to try their tandoori chicken. It opens at 5pm for dinner time. We arrived there around 4:50pm. Just sat down and wait. Outside, one guy was already cooking tandoori chicken in the furnace and smoke and the smell was everywhere floating around. I was like a fly buzzing around it. Mango lassi and cheese naan, I definitely tried better ones before, but they were enjoyable. But their tandoori chicken was the best one I have ever tried. So soft meat but the flavor was so strong. Not spicy at all. The smoke enhances the taste. It was simply addictive. Must try it when you come to the area! The place was a little off from the main Jonker street so you have to walk about 15 mins on country road. But pretty flat and well paved area, so not so much a trouble. There was a little interesting architectures on the way, so hope you can enjoy the view as well. One thing I have to point out is “customer service” does not really exist here. So, eat good foods, pay and go. That’s it. Human communication was pretty “cold” ~ unlike the heat of the tandoori chicken! 🐔

This North Indian restaurant in Kota Laksamana serves really awesome roti naan and chicken tandoori, set up in an open air mamak style (there is an indoor dining area as well). It gets very crowded, as early as 6.30pm. No wonder as this is the best place for Northern Indian food in Melaka. Do try the freshly baked tandoori chicken. It's quite flavourful and at the same time it's tender and juicy. Accompanied with the pudina sauce, it is out of this World. Take the triple cheese naan to satisfy your belly. Watermelon juice or mango lassi is a must. Pricing is at the moderate side, but it's worth a meal here. Staff is attentive and it is usually cooling seating outside during the night. OTHER ITEMS TO TRY: Prawn kolhapuri, mutton Roganjosh, chicken Pasanda, palak paneer (spinach with cottage cheese) and the biryani rice items.

Been here too many times because this place literally the best place that sell Chicken Tandoori with the best quality. Whenever I come to this place, it's always full house, crowded, sometimes I have to wait about 5-10 minutes to wait for an empty table. The services here are great, quick, fast, responsive but not too friendly though. The face impression they made when they took my order were tight enough like he's really exhausted. But I understand maybe he was really tired so never mind. The menu that makes this place popular are Chicken Tandoori and Roti Naan. Literally the best Chicken Tandoori I ever taste I swear. The portion, the ingredient are perfect. Great job to the chef! The price is really affordable and you can make this restaurant as the place to hang out and chill out! Keep it up!

Tucked away in Malacca, "Puk Putra" is a hidden gem specializing in Indian cuisine. Boasting impressive ratings of 9/10 for both food and service, this place promises an unforgettable culinary journey. Our order included butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and mutton Roganjosh, each dish a symphony of flavors and textures. The tandoori chicken was perfectly grilled, with tender meat that melted in the mouth. The butter chicken, rich and creamy, was a delightful balance of spices. And the mutton Roganjosh? Cooked to perfection, the meat was incredibly flavorful, tender, and aromatic. Every bite was a culinary delight, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit. "Puk Putra" is undoubtedly a must-visit pit stop for anyone craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine in Malacca.
