Aesthetically pleasing, gastronomically disappointing.

It’s a order-at-counter kinda place. Felt like self-service and you’re rushed to place an order. We weren’t specifically rushed because there was no customers after us, but what if there is?

We ordered a Grilled Chicken Bagelwich (GCB) and a Japanese Curry Chicken Katsu (JCCK).

GCB was cute. Just right for one. Not enough to share. The bagel was great. It was an Xmas edition dragonfruit bagel. No complains on the bagel alone. But the plate they served in was a bit too small to neatly eat their sauce-laden sandwich. And it’s a light metal plate that kept moving as you cut into it with the silverware. Nice silverware tho. Sandwich is ok.

The JCCK was such a let down! It was categorized under “baked rice” in the menu. Generally speaking, “baked rice” is understood as rice baked in a dish topped with cheese. Buuuu
.ttt nooo!!

It came out to be just a rice dish served with chicken Katsu on the side with some coleslaw made in-house. Of course they doll it up with a sunny side up on the rice. The rice is not fragrant and tastes like cheap economy rice. It’s not even Japanese rice.

The curry? Omg the curry.. was so underwhelming!! đŸ˜±

Please don’t.. please don’t order this. Lol.

I was already disappointed when the rice dish came out of...

We ordered the dragon fruit bagel with grilled chicken. The bagel was decent. It wasn't anything great. The bad part was the grilled chicken with black pepper sauce. The sauce must have been added with so much corn starch for it to be that thick. It looked and tasted like a black pepper chicken you would order from a really cheap western food restaurant. The next dish we ordered was the "baked curry katsu". It is not as the name suggest like a baked cheese rice style. It is just their name and rice. When the dish was served to us, My first impression was chap fan (economy rice). It was just bowl of rice with fried egg on top with the curry katsu and a scoop of coleslaw. The curry katsu chicken was dry and the curry sauce was tasteless.

I would never recommend this place to anyone and I will also never return here again. Food was very bad and...

Brought my family to have some brunch here but the service was very slow although there wasnt any customers at that hour. Only 6-7 tables but they have 3 FOH, 1 bar & few kitchen. Be prepared to wait for all your food because the food only come out one by one and not all together. Ordered some bagel brunch, snacks like onion rings, fries and rice dish. All the mains came but the 6 pieces of onion ring (RM 7.90) took more than 20 mins. We ordered 2 plated but had to wait for the 2nd plate after we finished the 1st plate because they only have a very small air fryer and had other orders to attend to.

Food is decent but the staff could be more alert and attentive. Service is too slow. If you have ample time to soare and dont mind waiting perhaps this is your place. Otherwise, be...

Overrated! Nothing special. We came to try their 'famous" bagel. Unfortunately, I would not considered it as a bagel. The texture is soft like bread. We ordered Sesame Bagel Avocado-cado. The worst ever! In the menu description was mentioned pan fried shrimp with avocado & mushroom. But we were served boiled shrimp instead, not even sautéed. Imagine the taste of fishy shrimp eat with avocado & mushroom with zero dressing. The plain Bagel with Egg & cheese was small. Doesn't looked like a Bagel, more of sliced burger bun with butter, with egg & melted cheese. Refer to the pictures below. The spaghetti sauce was sweet. Tomato sweet pasta sauce? The shrimp Oglio pasta was also disappointing. Again it was boiled shrimp instead of sautéed or pan fried. Lots of improvement need to be done.

I am frankly baffled by the massively positive reviews. The menu was largely unavailable. Imagine ordering a main and a drink and both were out of stock in the morning, just a little after their opening time. Feels a little ridiculous doesnt it? The cafe only takes card payment for RM50 above, and they do not have enough small change for spendings below RM50. Cafe latte tasted weird. There was a weird sour aftertaste - and it isn't the usual sour note from some single origin coffee beans. Bread and cheesecake was decent, but definitely not enough to carry the high ratings. If there's one word to describe this visit, it was disappointing. I hope this is not a recurring thing and other customers does not go through the same experience.
