Well..... What can I say. I'm truly lost for words... Not!
This place needs help! The stuff served was atrocious. We ordered Paneer Makhani, and felt like they opened a can of Tomato Soup added further food colouring and then dumped 5 small cubes of Paneer. Seriously guys! You call yourselves cooks... Someone call the food police as there is a crime here... Tasteless stews.
The Kadai Paneer felt like I was eating cream sauce pasta, the only difference being that instead of having Tagliatelle it had a couple of cubes of Paneer.
Indian food is supposed to be fireworks of flavors going off in your mouth. This was quite the opposite. Felt like I needed to swallow a couple of spices so at least my burbs can smell of spices instead of milk curd.
Service was excellent though, but we actually came to eat. Guys, please learn to cook before you call yourselves chefs.
I would give five stars for service and staff attitude. But only one star...

The portions were so small and absolutely priced items.
Kadai paneer was WATERY, FLAVOURLESS & I had to scoop around a few times to find capsicum. Kadai paneer is made out of paneer, capsicum and onion. I couldn't find any of them but three pieces of paneer in the regular size portion. They have small and regular.
The naans were so oily.
Gobi Manchurian was so bland and raw. Again regular portion had only 6 pieces. Better deal than paneer 🙄.
The vegetarian snack platter was oily and small. For that price, we expected something nice.
Jal jeera was bad. Masala chai was WATERY.
Garlic naan was bland again. The only okay item was their mint chutney.
Do not take the water front view. It is so warm and stinky. Inside area of the restaurant looked like a run down place.

Read moreI visited Kohinoor Restaurant yesterday evening with a group of friends. We are from Nepal, currently working in Brunei with the British Army, and were on a group tour looking for some good North Indian home-style food.
The service was excellent—definitely 5-star! We were initially struggling to order food due to the language barrier, but one of the staff members, Mr. Sani, was incredibly friendly and well-mannered. To our surprise, he spoke both Nepali and Hindi, which made us feel instantly at home.
He recommended some amazing dishes, including the tandoori platter, naan, curry dishes, and yellow dal. The flavors reminded us of home—just like the food we enjoy in Nepal.
Thank you, Mr. Sani, for your warm hospitality. We will definitely come back again soon. Highly recommended!
