Read moreVisited here last month while on holiday. Nice little place and food looked tasty . Ordered 2 beers, 1 juice . 3 bruschettas and 3 main pastas . Waited over 45 mins for bruschetta and and another 25 mins in the pasta . We were about cancel our mains and the arrived . Disappointing . Carbons and Bolognese were stodgy and stuck together and tasteless . Fungi pasta was tasty but wanting to eat had passed . When my friends eating the carbonara and bolognese didn’t have more than a couple of spoonfuls the waisted a large, bearded guy asked what was wrong . We have constructive nice feedback and he did the worse thing possible . Argued back and said “this is how fresh pasta is” . Now arguing with customer is one thing . Telling customers who one is a trained chef and the other who is cabin crew who has flown to Italy more times than remember this bull** is just not on. Wouldn’t listen to us and didn’t remove anything from the bill. Fool another 15 mins to pay and shocked not even the drinks were taken off the bill. 1 hour 20 mins for fresh pasta that takes 4/5 mins to cook is disgusting . Be wary of this place . It’s short staffed and lead by a rude man. Was so hoping to enjoy it . Left a bad taste in our mouths for our last...
Read moreAfter having had a good experience at this place only a week before (I had a dish with gf pasta), I recommended it to 4 other friends and on the 19/09/23, I booked a table for 5 outside on (over the phone) for 22/09. The Italian girl who took my reservation asked me for my details, gave her my name, tel number, time and that one of us was gluten intolerant to which she said we have 2 choices of gf pasta (but of course not freshly made) so I confirmed the booking. We arrived there yesterday evening. They didn't know about us and had no record of the booking on the diary. They managed to put some tables together however. When they came to take our order, I chose my gf dish to which they replied they don't have gf pasta. The waiter suggested I take a salad! This was our cue to leave as we went there for pasta and our evening was off to bad start. We found another lovely restaurant that served gf pasta with any sauce on the menu and it turned out to be a lovely evening. Impasta has definitely lost at minimum 5 customers. You would expect a pasta place to at least have one gf type of pasta always on their menu especially after confirming this over the phone. Very...
