TRiBE Valletta — Restaurant in Valletta

I went there for breakfast 3 times:)

Once I ate an avocado toast, it was so good that I did not take the picture :) although the bread was super hard to eat, it was so so dry (fried), that it was very hard to cut or bite. The service was super fast and efficient!

Another time, I went with my daughter; she took the pancake and I took “her royal breakfast”. Both of the dishes were really good and tasty! The service was super slow and even for the check it took about 10 minutes.

Last time we went with my husband and daughter. She took the pancakes (it was good); he took “his royal breakfast” - he did not like any part of it :( I took “her royal breakfast” - it was good, but not as good as the first time. My husband told me that the fish did not smell fine, I did not feel it, so I ate everything and was fine! However, in his opinion it was not good to eat. Service again took quite some time, even for the check. Probably they do not have enough services to serve all the tables with proper timing!

They have plenty of sweet pancake options that for me look way too sweet (by looking at other peoples plates).

I know it is hard to judge anything today by reviews. The cook or the service can be off and you will never know but our visit was off based on previous reviews. The food was bland, cold over cooked and attention to service was fair. Not good or even average. The video looping outside of the restaurant showing the burger sold me. It looks world class. The server asking how I wanted my burger prepared medium or well done sounded great. And again it looked so good on the video. The issue is that’s not what they serve. Well done and dry beef is what I got. Added to the fact the cheese was not melted. Then to come not even warm and not hot / sizzling .

Adding insult to injury is the fact the fries came and they’re cool.

No asking do we want any sauce or salt & pepper. My wife had the vegan dish with halloumi. The dish looked bad and tasted worst. Now the staff reacted quickly to bring new fries and they were hot and I had to ask for mayo. It just was so far from the reviews looping video that I felt compelled to write a below average review.
