Yesterday I visited Muza with my girlfriend. The location is truly beautiful, and the atmosphere was exactly what we expected – calm, elegant, and perfect for a romantic evening.
The service was good: polite, professional, and attentive. The staff often checked in to make sure everything was fine, which I appreciated. However, the pacing was a bit slow – we waited too long between dishes. Combined with the soft music and tranquil ambiance, I almost felt sleepy (joke aside, the staff were genuinely kind and caring).
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing, especially considering the expectations I had after reading many positive reviews. We chose the set menu: two starters/pastas, two mains, and two desserts.
Starters: We had ravioloni in a heavy cream sauce that was completely tasteless, and a chicken dish that left me uncertain of what I was actually eating.
Mains: One was a veal dish from the daily menu, which was a total letdown. The meat was pale, bland, and without seasoning – I had to ask for salt and pepper to give it some flavor. Even with the sauce, it remained uninspiring and unfinished. The second main was a tagliata, but its presentation already made me want to leave: the sauce looked like raw blood, the peppers looked tired and out of place, and the meat seemed hacked rather than sliced – again, no real flavor.
Desserts: I hoped the tiramisù and chocolate cake would save the evening, but both were bland and confusing in taste, far from what I expected.
Overall, I think Muza excels in service and atmosphere – it’s a stunning spot for a romantic evening or for taking beautiful pictures. But when it comes to food, it falls short of fine dining standards. The ingredients didn’t blend harmoniously, and most dishes lacked the depth of flavor that makes a meal memorable.
I’m not a professional food critic, and maybe for others the food is enjoyable. But for someone like me who values tasting the true flavors of the ingredients rather than just filling the stomach, Muza is not the...
Read moreIt is a great shame to give such a low rating, but it is impossible to give more, tonight we booked at 8:30pm for my husband and two children, the service and staff are extremely friendly and smiling but we never imagined that they would take so long to bringing our orders after placing them, and above all so out of date with each other, for example the wine arrived much later, we ordered 4 menus for €39 and two of them with an additional charge of €6 (fish and rib eye), our cocktails to start the dinner arrived 30 Minutes after being ordered, our appetizers were also late, very delicious but already WE WERE somewhat annoyed by the delay, the worst was the main dishes, I ordered a medium rib eye and they brought me the same dish that my daughter ordered, after letting the waiter know He picked it up and it took almost 30 minutes more to bring me my rib eye, perfectly medium cooked but extremely salty, again we let the waiter and the manager know and thinking that the third one would be the final one, serious mistake, my meat was harder than a sole, for this our menus included the dessert that neither my husband and my 12-year-old children took due to fatigue, we left the restaurant at 11 pm, very 0upset and hungry, it is a shame and a huge mistake. I can understand that there are times when some things can happen in the kitchen (Im owner of a food products company, mainly for restaurants and hotels in France and we understand very well than nobody is perfect) but THREE TIMES with the SAME ORDER in the SAME NIGHT that is already too much and there IS NO JUSTIFICATION. It's a shame because the place is nice but not enough to tolerate a lack of respect for diners such as extreme delays in service, the manager came directly to our table, to apologized, they did not charge my 39€ menu, as such as it was not duly covered.... But waiting from 8:30pm to 11pm is IMPOSSIBLE TO JUSTIFY such a service, after an arduous day of...

Our last night in Malta was truly memorable, thanks to a wonderful dinner at Muza. We were introduced to this gem by an English chef we met at St. Peter’s Pool, and we couldn’t resist checking it out. It turned out to be one of the best dining experiences of our trip.
We started with cocktails—I had my usual Negroni, while my partner opted for Muza Number 1, a signature creation recommended by our lively and knowledgeable waiter. The cocktails were well-crafted, setting a high standard for the evening.
The meal began with an incredible octopus carpaccio for me, which was both a visual and culinary delight. Delicately sliced and perfectly seasoned, it was fresh and flavorful—easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while.
But the real surprise came at dessert. Our waiter, attentive and keen on sharing something special, suggested an off-the-menu treat: Imqaret, a traditional Maltese date-filled pastry. It wasn’t listed, but he insisted it would be the perfect end to our meal. And he was absolutely right! The Imqaret was warm, fragrant, and rich with date filling, a comforting taste of Malta that left us with a warm memory of the evening.
The service was exceptional throughout, with our waiter adding a personal touch to each recommendation and elevating our experience. Muza’s ambiance, welcoming yet elegant, made us feel relaxed and indulged.
If you’re in Malta, don’t miss Muza. It’s a place full of culinary surprises and local flavors, where both the food and service are truly top-notch. Highly...
