Worst experience ever, bad food, bad service and bad entertainment. I expected waaaaay more for the extreme high price. I will resume what happened: you arrive with your partner to eat, ok so no, they sit you on a table to share food with another 6 persons. You literally battle for a piece of chicken. I asked for a table for 2 because I paid for 2 not for a group eat, so under bad faces and some internal discussions they decided to change me to another room, now finally i said wow i can eat and talk with my partner. well basically it was more talk because the guy placed a tajin in front of me, just when i open and wanted to take a piece the guy ran as quickly as possible to the table to take it away again, no sorry nothing, just took it away to place it at another table. The other table noticed and looked at the food like ok somebody already touched this... Finally i got my food and it was horrible, now after that i ordered a lemon drink, he brought orange...at last they brought a mountain of couscous, but before reaching my table they decided to put it on an empty table with flies around it for 10 min, after the flies ate i could finally try some... The most funny thing of the night was the dessert, just 6 pieces of fruit, a banana an apple and some oranges, hot fruit mmmmm, When finished i asked to pay the drinks (drinks are apart of the extremely high price for bad food) so the guy said ohhh apart from price also tips, i said NO, here you have 100 dirham please give me the rest, i calculated and it was 80, they guy gives me 10 and say its 90, i say NO its 80 and he said ow sorry and gives me another 10. I dont give Tips when im not happy, they didn't deserve tips, specially when you battle for food and have a very very bad service. Now the entertainment is bad, not coordinated and boring, everyone was looking like they wasted their money. I would definitely not recommend this place unless you want to...
Read moreChez Ali is definitely a place worth visiting. It offers traditional dancing, music, food and clothes from different parts Morocco. My partner, a Moroccan, suggested we this place since it was my first time in Marrakesh. However, I would have planned it differently if I had known about the whole organisation beforehand. He had contacted a company who came to collect us with a luxurious bus from our hotel. We paid $45 each for the entrance, food and show. The bus stopped to pick up other clients on the way which took quite a bit of time before arriving at the place (45min). The entrance is impressive with camels and people dancing and singing. Then we quickly visited a cave which was beautiful. Afterwards we went to eat in a tent but we were served whatever was on the menu to share with whoever was included on the table. We didn’t have a choice in that which was disappointing as I’m a pescatarian and there was mostly meat served. Honestly , the food was average. Not worth it at all. The drinks are excluded from the package so we paid 40usd extra for a bottle of red wine. The show started around 10pm, so we had to ensure that we had cushions which seemed to be short of supply. The horse show was impressive but the belly dancing was quite boring, we couldn’t see well as we weren’t sitting on the right angle. If I had to do it again, I would drive there, skip the meal and see the show...
Read moreChez Ali is truly an amazing experience that brings the folk traditions of Morocco to life. The show is spectacular—full of music, dance, horsemanship, and vibrant cultural performances that make it feel like you’re stepping into a Moroccan fairytale. It’s a must-see if you want to experience the magic and diversity of Moroccan folklore all in one place.
The meals were very tasty, generous, and beautifully presented, adding to the overall atmosphere. Traditional dishes were prepared well, and the experience of dining while enjoying the performances made it unforgettable.
⚠️ One important note: be cautious with the drinks service inside the tents. The men in charge of the drinks menu have a habit of inflating bills—sometimes doubling or tripling charges without asking, hoping guests won’t notice. Also, while tea with mint is included in the meal package, they may come around asking if you’d like tea and then charge you again separately. To avoid surprises, make sure to check the drinks menu carefully and confirm what’s included in your package before ordering and know how much you will have to pay before he comes up with a magical number.
🌟 Overall: The show and the atmosphere at Chez Ali are absolutely worth experiencing—it’s a night full of Moroccan culture and entertainment. Just keep an eye on the billing in the tent so the only thing you leave with are...
