Bamboo Bar Cafe — Restaurant in Pokhara

So it was a total fluke that I ended up at this place yesterday. I was walking around the lakeside. It was windy and chilly. I didn't have the wits in me to wear the thermocol that I had packed just then. As the weekend in Pokhara, many places had live music going on, but this one had a solo singer who was also playing the guitar. He was singing soulfully and right at that time, one of the server invited me for a cup of coffee. It was past 9 pm and as a 30-something who can no longer hold her caffeine past 2 pm, I asked for an alternative. The winning reply was hot lemon tea. I spent an hour in the cosy table there drinking the hot lemon tea, listening to the dude uncannily sing to all the songs from my playlist, and read this book that I bought for dirt cheap at Fewa bookstore. After I could fight the cold no longer, I walked in to an even cosier setting and enjoyed the amenities from before even more. I didn't really order anything, but the place was full and everyone had clean plates so I'll let you be the judge of...

Went there hungry and ordered Spaghetti. Waited for 30 mins and asked how much longer it's gonna take. The waitress said, "It'll take 10 more minutes, it's being prepared", to which I asked them to cancel the order if the preparation hasn't begun yet. Then they said, "No it's already being prepared, spaghetti usually takes time to be cooked and the kitchen is a little busy". We proceeded to wait for 30 more minutes. Then we found out the order hadn't even been listed yet.

My problem isn't having to wait. My problem is being lied to my face when enquired about my order, when clearly they hadn't even asked the kitchen if my order was being prepared.

The ambience was good.

We went out and filled our hunger with a 150rs sekuwa stick....
