Absolutely the WORST stay I've had anywhere. Avoid this hotel and its owner at all costs!
A) Many of the rooms smell. I was told this was from lack of use. Good thing people are heeding my advice to avoid this place!
B) I was shown the jacuzzi when I was checking the place out, and it was promoted heavily to get me in. They forgot to mention it costs at least 5,000 rupees each time to use (about twice the price of the room itself!) That would have been good thing to mention!
C) This place is full of unwelcome surprises and hidden charges, and so lacks communication and integrity—be VERY careful!
D) The furniture was beaten up and the room was repaired in a makeshift manner. It looks like they pulled the bathtub out and replaced it with nothing, so there’s just a big space for a shower—weird!
E) I worked out a deal for a a week's stay. I asked if the rate would be honored if I stayed longer and was told clearly "Yes." A week later, I found a rude note taped to the door saying that the rate would double. When I inquired about it, I was treated so disrespectfully and rudely by the Chairman of this and apparently associated hotels--I believe his name is Chakra, or he told me, "CP" (his co-workers said they didn't know his name, which I'm sure was a lie). Clearly, they merely wanted to renege on what I was told, and make more money off the room, since it was a holiday period.
I maintained my composure and explained the situation while he went off on an insulting tirade against Americans. I had been nothing but kind to the people there, so he was complete out of line. Rather than taking responsibility for the actions and agreements of his employees, he'd rather insult me and an entire nation. This person is so lacking in class and respect, he is sure to cause problems for the hotel as a whole and its employees, who he also disrespected, saying he would fire them for the agreements they made.
I was so offended by the disgusting approach of this person, and the lowly comments he made, I can’t tell you how glad I was to leave, which I did the next day. He should be absolutely embarrassed and ashamed, though I doubt he is, as this seemed to be his normal mode of conduct, which makes him a poor person indeed to have at the helm of any business. It would be best to replace him with a representative of dignity. He gave the entire hotel a black eye. The experience sickened me. I urge you to not support this man nor this hotel, and to stay clear of this place! Do not support those who think so poorly of dignified guests and their...
