the kimchee friend rice is very oily , sickingly sweet and full of sugar and msg . I had heartburn and I got sick in the bathroom after a few bites . It’s definitely not like my oma or halmoni’s food . It’s Chinese style Korean fried fast food . I think the specialty here is Korean fried chicken -better to stick to that and not eat any kimchi dishes etc . When I complained to the waitress she just smiled and laughed it off . When the owner came with bill I told him his food was too greasy and made me sick and was not healthy like my Korean mothers and grandmother’s food. He said another foreigner had the same problem as me but his food was fine just some foreigners don’t have a stomach for kimchi . I got pretty mad at that racist remark especially since I’ve grown up on kimchi as it’s the only thing that makes my stomach well when sick . There was alot on the menu and we were hungry so it was a bit hard to choose. The owner was very friendly! We ordered the spicy stirfried chicken and half portion of sweet chili chicken- rice is not included but soup and so many side dishes are. I know korean food always comea with side dishes but he kept making us more! We were so full at the end of our meal. And the main dish portions are very generous!
