A popular Dutch café with a terrace and a partial view of the canal. Excellent location, just opposite the canal tour boats and a 5 minute walk to Dam square, Kalverstraat, the Royla Palace and Amsterdam's central station. Apart from the regular menu, they also offer plates for sharing with "bitterballen" typical Dutch bar food, a small cheese plate, olives and more. One of my favorites, on a chilly days, is the hot chocolate with lots of fresh whipped cream. If you want an added kick, ask for a splash of rum and that will keep you warm on a chilly Dutch day. Inside there is a bar and small café style...

Nice place ,do not know about food but for coffee lovers not a place I was shocked and lost speech to see how my Latte was made ..To make it they dump left over from cofee machine from 2 caps staying under 2 cofee nozzels ( assume slow drip or overshoot from nozzels) and poor hot steamed milk in it without bother to try make a foam Even in very busy crowded places never see doing like this .Machiatto probably will be big challenge for them to do . Very suprise see review below with very good...

We had the Steak Sandwich, some Fries as well as the Farmers Omelett (added gruyere instead of normal cheese though) as well as some fresh orange juice. The steak sandwich was good, so was the omelett, the portion sizes are really big. The salad on the plate was also soo good, had a nice dressing. Took a bit until the waitress realised we were trying to get her attention to get the bill. A bit on the pricey side but it‘s also central and next...

Stopped here to kill time before meeting a friend. I had a cup of tea and a croissant, heaters were on outside and sat out on the terrace watching people go about there business. Tea and croissant were so good when I had finished I went back inside and bought more and stayed an extra 20 mins. I've come back to this review to upgrade it. This place is slowly becoming one of my go to places. Good tea good food and service.
