The most common name that comes to mind when you speak about fast fashion. Owned by the Inditex group which is a Spanish apparel retailer, Zara has been a key player in the fashion industry. Displaying new collections almost on the bi monthly calendar. The storefront and the products are different every time you visit. Products are nicely displayed and can be located easily. Dedicated floors for men, women and kids. I always make sure to visit the Zara store every time I come to Amsterdam.
You will be able to find a variety of products in the store ranging from, regular clothing, winter wear, mens and womens accessories, shoes, bags, office wear, beauty products, perfumes, swimwear etc. Seems like the product range of Zara is expanding. Although the quality of their footwear is not so great they excel in the clothing lines.
A sustainable product line should also be introduced to their products so that they are on board with the whole circular/sustainable economy. The store is very spacious. They could use some more staff though as no one is available for any questions if something arises. Was only able to see any staff at the checkout counters, which were also very slow and not fully occupied. Spent a lot of time waiting...
Read moreAs a fan of the Zara brand, I was excited to visit the store recently. Unfortunately, my experience started off poorly. The store was very busy, and when I was looking for a specific shirt size, I approached the first client advisor I saw. Sadly, they ignored my request. Things got worse when I asked another client advisor for help — not only was she unhelpful, but her attitude was rude and dismissive. She responded with, “Everything is there, and I don’t have a system to check,” which felt very unprofessional and made me feel embarrassed.
I believe that every staff member represents the brand, and this behavior did not reflect Zara’s image. Before leaving, I asked to speak to someone in charge — not to complain, but to express how disappointed I was.
That’s when I met Mariza, and everything changed. She was incredibly kind, listened to me attentively, and sincerely apologized for what had happened. Her professionalism and warmth truly made my day. I also want to thank Jairo, a client advisor who went above and beyond to help me find the right size with patience and care.
Because of Mariza and Jairo, my experience ended on a very positive note. Next time I visit Zara, I will definitely be asking for them....
Read moreThe service in this Zara is so awful!! I wanted to return 2 dresses bought two days ago. When I came in to the counter, the attitude of the all women (unfortunately, Spanish as I, Portuguese and Dutch) had very bad face as they did not want to work. From the beginning they were putting lot of problems to me in order to return it. As if the dresses were not fine to do so, I asked them where there was a rule which they could show me in order to see what is the way and the policy to return the items and of course they were not able to say anything. I had to call for the manager, called Bonnie and she was even more rude than the others. Eventually I had to go to the other Zara to return the items and it all went fine, another vibe. I got the feeling these ladies were too lazy to work and that was the whole issue behind. They were talking in front of a long line about their weekend plans and even gossiping about a colleague. It really felt the atmosphere there was very bad and this is so unprofessional for a brand as Zara!!! This is not acceptable, maybe you should consider to check the staff in that shop and giving opportunities to other people that I am sure will be more...
