All in all a weird experience. The staff was professional and accommodating but I wouldn't consider the service I received as friendly by Amsterdam terms. Maybe I was giving off a weird vibe, because one of my two servers was quite chatty with other tables. I had the taleggio ravioli with chanterelles and rosemary sauce. The ravioli themselves were good and fresh, but the sauce was very salty with the slightest whiff of rosemary. The dish could've been warmer too. After finishing my ravioli and reminding the server I had asked for bread to go with my dish, I was brought focaccia, for which they charged me, even though I hadn't ordered it. The focaccia deserves five stars, though. I had made a reservation through The Fork, which was supposed to entitle me to a 30% discount. The offer was not honored, saying it only applies to lunch, contrary to what was posted on The Fork. Bummer. The service turned a little bit more friendly when it was time to pay the bill. We were a group of 6 visiting Amsterdam from the UK, and because my mother has a specific food intolerance we needed to research beforehand. Many places never responded to our emails, but Onze Zaak did and were extremely friendly and helpful. It was then an easy decision to book in!

We arrived on a Monday evening and were given a very warm welcome, and shown to our table which was all ready and very inviting. We were looked after very well, and they had noted my mother's food allergy and were very considerate and helpful to her in suggesting what was suitable.

When the food arrived, wow it was delicious, and beautifully presented. This isn't a bog standard Italian, this is top quality fresh food made with skill and care. We were all extremely happy with the food and felt so relaxed there. Drinks flowed too and much enjoyed!
