The bakery, claimed to be the oldest in Amsterdam, has been open since 1898 and promotes the original stroopwafel recipe. It's true that taste can't lie. I stumbled upon this famous bakery by accident while walking from Negen Straatjes to around Westerkerk in search of dinner. What I found turned out to be a hidden gem in Amsterdam, where I tasted the best stroopwafel I have ever tried. At that time, there were many people waiting outside the bakery for their name to be called. Upon entering, we ordered a stroopwafel. The staff were friendly and told us to wait outside for our name to be called. The bakery had a very old-fashioned interior with beautiful old paintings on the ceiling, giving it a nostalgic atmosphere. It was not large, which serve take-away only. Near the window, we could see the staff making stroopwafels and other pastries. The stroopwafels served here were always fresh and warm. It takes around 8 minutes for our name to be called and we collected our stroopwafel. The stroopwafel was larger in size with a thin, crunchy waffle outside and melted syrup caramel on the inside. It tasted exquisite, with a crunchy crust that gave way to a slightly soft inner side and melted sweet sticky caramel syrup in every bite. What made it even better was that the stroopwafel was freshly cooked. One stroopwafel cost around €7.50, which was quite pricey compared to other bakeries. However, I believe the taste justified the price, especially if you really like sweet foods. Besides stroopwafels, they also sold other items such as muffins, bread, etc.

I'd made research before arrived to Amsterdam and after some time I found this traditional bakery. This was the best decision could have been made to go to this place. Stroopwafels are the most famous sweet snack in Holand and here they are making them on site(they have been baking them since 1898) that's why their taste is amazing, they are a little bit warm which is the best way to eat it. Despite Stroopwafels they are also making croissants and bread which are also very interesting option to choose. You need to visit this place if you are in Amsterdam and want to eat something really good and taste the tradition right after you make first step to see what's going on there :)

THE BEST! I didn’t know about this waffle place before, we just stumbled upon it whilst cruising around central Amsterdam. We were intrigued by the building design and little red carpet entrance and the smells alone were enough to draw us in. It’s a very quaint and beautiful little wafel house and you can see the bakers making Stroopwafel fresh. The fresh ones were a delight; perfect size and perfect amount of caramel Centre and spices added. They were €7.5 so quite pricey but so worth it for being around here and enjoying. Would definitely go again. They also had pastries to try but they were all sold out when we went in so they must have been good!!

THE BEST STROOPWAFELS!!! You smell this bakery way before you see it! The aroma of deliciousness grabs you from a block away and drags you into the shop. The shop is absolutely gorgeous and the staff inside are so kind and friendly in addition to be incredible bakers. Yes, the Stroopwafels are amazing, but so are the croissants (hazelnut is our favourite)! Also, the bread is incredible… basically I go there several times a week pretending my dog dragged me in (because yes it’s also dog friendly for well behaved pups that like left over waffles) and I end up leaving with something delicious.
