Italianni's — Restaurant in Makati

We had the worst experience here tonight. We ordered a Sicilian Salad with Chicken, 2 pcs. of Grilled Pork Chops, and Carbonara (requesting the pasta to be well done). The service was okay at first, but it went downhill when we asked for the pasta to be redone since it was not well done. When the Grilled Pork Chops were served, my brother noticed and showed the manager that there was hair on the marsala wine sauce. He politely declined to replace the main and requested only to change his plate while reminding them to be attentive. While we were eating, another server swooped in to our table and started collecting dishes that were almost empty without asking us if it was okay. Half-heartedly, we finished our meal and asked for the bill. It seemed like they were unhappy that we asked for the pasta to be redone and called attention to the food hygiene issue. We felt unwelcome and rushed to leave.

The manager, Cyreen, tried to remove the Grilled Pork Chops from our bill, but we requested that it be put back since we ate most of it. We don't agree with getting things for free just because they had problems. All we want is good customer service and a decent amount of respect from them.

Note: The Grilled Pork Chops were dry and hard, and the redone Carbonara was clearly hastily done and almost bland with only a few pieces...

So my girlfriend and I went to the Italiannis restaurant in glorietta 4 as it was full in the other restaurants... We had to wait standing for a table due to the amount of people, we appreciated being asked to preorder so they could prepare it as we wait... Despite this our order was still late and this wasn't only the case for us but a bunch more tables... They didn't even serve us together as my girlfriend got her food first... A chicken parmigiana, orr just 1/4 chicken and 3/4 flour , chicken alone was bland it didn't even lack taste it just didn't have any , the overwhelming amount of tomato was carrying the taste and the processed mozzarella was bland as well... As for my order , a grilled pork au poivre that had "sauteed vegetables" as as a side dish... I found it amusing how the overcooked grilled pork was easier to cut than my vegetables, but the grilled pork kept it's competition while i cut deeper into it... The side sauce that was below the pork was cold... And the mango shake became more bland the more my girlfriend drank it... I was very disappointed in this lunch and dont recommend it at all..

What a fabulous meal! I really had no high expectations but I was blown away! Everything was delicious! I don't remember all the names of the dishes that we ordered but I remember each delectable bite. For starters we had a salad that had mangoes, grapes, lettuce and candied walnuts. What made this a standout was the anchovy dressing. It was a perfect balance of salty and sweet. We also got the truffle fries which were really potato chips sliced oh so thinly and crisped up to perfection. They also served it with extra truffle dip. Next we had a cheese, spinach and artichoke dip with bread. This was another winner. For pizza, we had the 4 cheese. The eggplant parmigiana was baked with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese.
