I had breakfast in The Pantry in Dusit Thani Makati on a weekday morning. There was an ongoing breakfast buffet but I just decided to eat a la carte.

While the ambiance was great, the quality of the a la carte food and the speed of the service could use some improvement.

➢The egg white omelet was too oily. Same with the asparagus. The mushrooms and tomato were okay. ➢The chef’s signature breakfast sandwich was delicious. The sunny side eggs, even though it’s a bit oily, had perfect runny yolks. It paired really well with the baked beans and nurnberger sausages. I really liked the rosti potatoes, it had the right amount of crunch and tasted even better with ketchup. ➢ The iced hazelnut was just okay. ➢ The complementary bread and butter were great; the soft bread paired perfectly with the butter.

As for the service, our order took 25 minutes to arrive, even though they told us that the serving time will be 15-20 minutes. I think it’s because there was an ongoing breakfast buffet and the chefs might have had a hard time cooking a la carte orders. Although all the staff were really nice and accommodating.

The ambience is amazing since this restaurant is located inside a hotel. The whole atmosphere is clean and cozy.

Had a dinner buffet this November with their Halloween 🎃 Themed Buffet.

There's a lot of variety of food to choose from, from appetizers to desserts. The food was superb. The price is bit pricey but you can avail 20% up to 50% off using Eatigo / Deal Grocer / Metrodeal, just check the app or their website for comparison of prices that offers discounted price, I must say this is good deal. In my case I used Eatigo, instead of paying Php 2,200.00 for dinner buffet , I availed the 50% off and just paid Php 1,100.00 net/ pax.

I made a reservation at your establishment to celebrate my father's birthday on April 22, 2025, and even paid in advance. During the booking process, I requested if a birthday cake could be arranged and explicitly stated that I was willing to pay for it. However, your staff assured me that a complimentary slice of cake would be provided for the celebration. On the day of the reservation, I called your front desk to confirm everything. They asked again about the occasion, which should have already been noted in your system. I reiterated that it was for my father's birthday, and once again, I was told he would be receiving a complimentary slice of cake. To my surprise and deep disappointment, when I spoke with my mother the following day, she told me there was no cake at all, despite them mentioning during their visit that it was a birthday celebration. This was extremely upsetting, especially considering the clear communication and confirmations from your team. If your staff cannot follow through on something as simple and meaningful as this, they should not promise it in the first place.
