Not only one of the worst dinning experiences in Lisbon but probably of my entire life. One star because I can’t give less.
After reading the reviews, we were quite excited about coming to the restaurant, as it looked well presented with good food.
We arrived to an empty restaurant at 20.30, we did not have a reservation, when asked if we could have a table for two , the waiter reacted with a supposed great dissatisfaction and stated ‘ hmm, no reservation- hmm ok you can come’.
We then sat and ordered some wine. Firstly, they did not have the wine that we requested. They do have a nice bread service, which is a nice touch but that’s about it.
The starters that we ordered arrived 40mins after we ordered, the soup was lukewarm and the foie gras was extremely over cooked. if you’re going to serve foie gras you should know how to cook it.
Then we waited an hour for the mains (timed), it was clear as now we are three tables at the restaurant that they waited to serve the whole food for the restaurant at one go. As all mains came out almost at the same time, even though the other two tables arrived much later than us.
My girlfriend’s octopus and the black rice that it was served on a bed of was cold, my wild boar was over cooked up until the point that it was brown, completely dry and inedible, very tough.
We then obviously asked to pay as it is now 22.30 and we are just fed up, the bill comes and the salad we had ordered to share with the main courses was on the bill , I then said that we did not even touch the salad, where I got the very straightforward answer ‘ what’s the problem, was there any thing wrong with the salad’ ?
Just because you give an amuse Bouche of unevenly cut ceviche with a citrus dressing doesn’t give you the right to be called fine dining.
A lot of work to be done, I won’t be coming back and I won’t recommend anyone to try it. Really, it’s a waste of your money & you will feel double disappointed with the treatment afterwards. One day later I’m still so annoyed that this is actually my first time to write a negative review for...
Read moreI was looking for a restaurant for a special occasion with my family and Azul e Branco was exactly the right choice. The food was truly amazing: beautifully presented; fresh, local ingredients combined into extraordinary and very tasty dishes. The couvert and amuse bouche were also a great surprise! We were served by Nuno Aguiar that evening and had one of the best services we had ever experienced. Nuno was super attentive, kind, humorous and at the same time very professional. Also, the restaurant has a beautiful elegant ambience. For the great quality of the food, the beautiful presentation of the plates and the outstanding service, the prices are really unbeatable. We spent an unforgettable evening, thank...
Read moreThe food was really great having a multiple course menu. My favorite was the depicted foix groie covered in a port reduction sitting on top of chocolate creme and pastel cordobés. And the presentation was amazing.
The main dish, risotto and fish was a little bit on the week side concerning flavor.
Servings came a little too quick. Already after sitting down we were immediately offered a snack. But after advising the staff to go a little bit more slowly they completely understood.
The decor is welcoming and bright with artsy porcelain plates all over the walls.
Parking is a tough one. We circled multiple times until we squeezed in our...
