SCAMMERS! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.

Our party of 4 was looking for a different restaurant a few doors down (Taverna Alfacinha) for a super late lunch at around 3:30 on a Friday. When we first arrived at Taverna, a man told us that the location only did seafood rice, and if we wanted to order other menu items, we would need to go down a few doors to their second dining area. We weren't sure if we were being scammed to go to a different restaurant or not but when he showed us the menu, it was identical, so we went with him. I did notice that the other restaurant had an 'Adega Mó' sign inside and I was skeptical. But we were hungry, it was late, and since the menu was the same, I just believed the guy that it was the same restaurant. Turns out it wasn't, and it wasn't confirmed until after the fact, when I posted a review under the original restaurant and they said it has happened before where Adega Mó steals their customers. Judging by their food, I can see why they have to resort to dishonest tactics to get customers. We had:

-Salad - this had lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, and corn. It's just a salad but we really needed some greens since we had been eating pretty heavily the entire weeklong trip. -Seafood rice - it takes about half an hour for them to make. It had a good amount of seafood, especially crab, which I liked. It also had shrimp, squid, and clams. I didn't really like the rice itself. It was way too saucy. I was thinking it would be like a paella, but it was more like a soupy stew with rice and seafood. They also brought the rice from outside, which was another reason why we believed it was the same restaurant because we thought they were bringing it over from the other place -Grilled octopus - we ate octopus almost every other day while in Portugal and didn't meet an octopus we didn't like. Until now. They don't give you just the tentacle but instead, they give you an entire octopus that is uncut. So we were sitting at the table and trying to hack at this thing with a knife, which was very difficult because the octopus was chewy. The only really edible parts were the thinner part of the tentacles, but even those were pretty chewy. Definitely was not fresh

I wish we had the chance to actually eat at the restaurant we wanted to, and not this tourist trap run by scam artists. Just beware, if this...

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and was very impressed with the overall experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, but what really made the evening stand out was the service. Our server, Raghu ❤️, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied throughout the meal.

From the moment we arrived, Raghu welcomed us with a warm smile and guided us through the menu, giving helpful suggestions and answering our questions patiently. His timing was excellent—he checked in often enough to ensure we had everything we needed, but never in a way that felt rushed. He brought a personal touch to the service, which made us feel truly valued as customers.

It’s rare to come across someone so attentive, polite, and professional, especially during busy hours. Raghu made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about his guests.

Because of both the quality of the food and Raghu’s excellent service ❤️, I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. I look forward to...

If you're looking for the best grilled sardines and octopus in the world, Adega Da Mo is the place to be. Every bite here is a dream come true—authentic, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection.

The grilled sardines are a masterpiece—charred just right on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with a smoky aroma that takes you straight to the Portuguese coast. And the octopus? Unmatched. Meltingly tender, seasoned flawlessly, and served with the perfect balance of olive oil and garlic. These are the kind of dishes you’ll crave long after you leave.

What makes Adega Da Mo even better is the fair prices and impeccable service. The staff is warm, attentive, and passionate about sharing their culinary heritage. You’ll feel like family from the moment you walk in.

For a true taste of Portugal’s soul, this restaurant is a must-visit. I’d fly back just for another plate of their octopus. Simply...

I recently visited Adega Da Mó and was blown away by their delicious vegetarian paelha! As someone who often struggles to find truly satisfying vegetarian options, I was thrilled to discover this gem. The paelha was packed with flavor, beautifully seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The fresh vegetables were vibrant and plentiful, adding a wonderful variety of textures and tastes to the dish. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. It's clear that the team at Adega Da Mó takes pride in their food and service. If you're a vegetarian or simply enjoy great food, I highly recommend trying their vegetarian paelha. It was easily one of the best I've ever had, and I'll definitely be returning to enjoy it again!
