Very great place to eat vegan and Indian inspired food !
This is a small all-you-can-eat buffet at first sight but plenty ! But better worth a small buffet with quality dishes than an huge one with a lot of not tasty and low quality food. They had soup of the day, crudités, some cold stuffs, 4 types of warm dishes, tabbouleh, whole and basmati rice, and seasoning. They also had some vegan desserts but they aren’t included in the buffet so you have to play an extra, as well as for drinks. You can find the prices in they website, this is 10,50€ at night and it’s really worth it. All the food was delicious. They fill the containers as soon as they’re almost empty. The staff is nice and English speaking. They explain kindly the principle of the buffet at who asks. They also have aluminum (then re-heatable) containers for take-away atome 6,50€.
The only thing that is would suggest is to indicate what the dishes are for some things at the cold buffet (although you can easily ask the staff) and write in English too what are the warm dishes (only in Portuguese currently).
Definitely in my “places to...
Read moreLet me start this with the disclaimer of I'm not vegan. I was accompanying a vegan friend and so can only say the food met expectations.
Tucked away into a little lane that (if you're not in shape, much like me) you will get into huffing and puffing coz it's a bit of a climb.
The ambience is lovely with (plastic?) Plants hanging all around. The paintings on the wall are beautiful, mesmerizing even.
There were 3 servers that I saw, of whom one of the ladies was rather frazzled, the gentleman was polite and served with a smile and the third person I'm not even sure I actually saw or just cooked up with my imagination!!!
The food itself was alright. There was a limited salad, that, for me, was the saving grace. The soup was the won hands down along with the polenta served with the soup.
The main course was pretty meh, if you ask me the truth.
The OJ, however, was the star of the place.
All in all, if you're vegan and haven't found anything else this is the...
Read moreI honestly can't understand how this place got so many good reviews. It may be alright if you want to eat a lot on a small budget but otherwise it's absolutely disappointing. We went there in the evening so the small all you can eat buffet was 12,50 euros per person plus drinks. The choice was not great, a few cold dishes with mainly the same ingredients. The warm food was overcooked. Also, when I go to a restaurant I expect that the chef made an effort to please my palate. Here everything was quite bland. Yes, they had salt, pepper, oil and vinegar available to help yourself but with food that's supposed to be mainly Indian that would hardly help. Also, we didn't meet the very friendly staff mentioned in other reviews. The waiter showed us a table, brought the ordered drink and came for the bill without hardly saying a word or...
