Taberna Tosca — Restaurant in Lisbon

Awful atitude from the owner/manager of this place. I was there with my friends, everyone was drinking while watching a world cup match and he was very rude on pushing people into buying more drinks. I do understand that they're there to make business and serve people but there was no need to be rude and arrogant as everybody was consuming normally and accordingly to the game and the drink rate of everyone. The bad atitude only lead us onto not buying anything else until the game was finished.

Near to the end of the game the owner was also very rude with a man who sat watching the television using a chair from the business next door, unknowingly it seemed, and as he probably wasn't his target costumer he grabbed the man by the arm, lifted him up his chair and placed the chair away from the television leaving the man really confused with what had just happened.

They can have the best drinks and cuisine in the world that still I would not recommend this place to...

We found Taberna Tosca on a rainy day. We were looking for lunch and to get out of the rain. The location is beautiful and it's easy to find next to the park.

The food was good. The cheese plate and olives were excellent. Sadly, my son had a slight allergic reaction, and we never truly figures out to what. He is not prone to allergies, so it was strange.

The best plates on the table were the sardines and the tuna. Both were cooked excellently. They are worth a revisit.

I asked for a glass of red wine and it was never delivered. The service seemed a bit preoccupied and they were not terribly attentive to us. We are a low maintenance group, so maybe they forgot about us. Either way, the service was a disappointment.

Only giving 1 star because I can’t leave 0. The food was disgusting, service was awful and the atmosphere was horrific. Being stared at by nearby tables. I wanted to leave but then our drinks came. The food is so overpriced for the smallest portions. Also charges us for food we didn’t order, bread and olives etc and we didn’t eat them either. The chips are crisps and soggy and floppy €3.50 for that is ridiculous. The chorizo is fatty and you only get a few slices €8.50. We didn’t it and paid after being there for 30 minutes, only drank our beer which was also expensive in comparison with other places that are 10000 times better. Please don’t eat here, there’s so many wonderful restaurants nearby or just go to the time out market instead!...
