We went to the sit-down regular tables in the back. Not noisy but not quiet either. The service was helpful as we were give the English menu to obvious tourists. I would come here again.

The meat was probably the worse dish I had here as the meat was hit and miss with some tough/chewy and other pieces tender - more were tough and less tender ; all seasoned with salt. I would pass and try a different protein next time. The seabass was described as "fresh". It was butterflied and grilled. The skin was crispy, the fish seasoned nicely. Beware even though it was fileted there were bones! I would order this again because sole is more expensive and to me, just another white fish. The seafood paella had whole prawns, shrimps, langastino, little clams, muscles, crayfish. The rice was cooked a little on soft side. It was some work to get the shells off the shrimp/prawns/langastino. An extra plate was served as a place to put the shells. I would order a different Paella next time for variety. The egg custard (not the flan from the picture in the menu) was scooped into a bowl with a cookie. It was nice and cold with a hint of cinimmon. Very yummy - I'd...

I’m sitting right at the bar while typing this review. The anchovy stuffed olives (made in house) are the best olives I’ve tried, and they pair wonderfully with the reserve Rioja red wine. The employees are quite attentive if you have a question and seem to enjoy talking about their craft. My only regret here is that I can’t buy one of those aged hams hanging above the bar as I’d never get that through customs. If you are looking for a place that has a wine selection based on quality instead of quantity, this is a great place to visit and if I find myself back in Madrid I will definitely be...

No...

We were looking for a place to have a quick drink as it was raining. We ended up having bocadillo de calamares and patatas bravas. The service was correct, the waiter was friendly and he was always very quick. The food was decent, although a bit expensive. The rations are okay, the sandwich was a bit smaller than expected. The sandwich tasted okay and the bravas were nice (at least the potatoes weren’t frozen ones). I personally think this bar is for tourists but for a tapa or two is not too bad.

science 2018 and after, whenever I visited Madrid I have to dine in this restaurant. today I had my lunch here with my son. the food is amazing especially the paella, among the years I tried different typs of paella, the one eith chicken and the seafood paella are amazing. Also we ordered the fried squid and it was very delicious . The salad was good, however I am not a big fan of raw onion 💔 the waiters are very kind and helpful. it is a must stop restaurant for me in Madrid
