I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the burger joint Denise’s Art of Burger inside Globus department store, Geneva, Switzerland.

A great burger spot inside the Globus food court in Geneva. They offer a wide variety of options, from classic beef burgers to chicken, vegetarian choices, lobster rolls, and even a sausage sandwich.

I tried the Double Beef Burger, made with sesame bun, double beef patty (short rib & brisket), Gruyère cheese, caramelized onions, tomato, iceberg lettuce, and their house “Denise” sauce. The burger was delicious, with perfectly cooked meat and well-balanced flavors.

The setting is quite lively since you sit in the middle of the food court, which makes it fun for people watching. Service is efficient and works in a semi–fast food style: you order at the counter, get a buzzer, and pick up your meal...

Retour sur une expérience décevante dans votre établissement de burgers

Client régulier de votre table « Chez Denise », que j’ai toujours beaucoup appréciée, je me permets de vous adresser un retour très sincère à propos de mon passage ce jour dans votre établissement de burgers.

Malheureusement, l'expérience fut très éloignée des standards auxquels vous nous avez habitués.

Dès notre arrivée, le service s’est révélé catastrophique : malgré un restaurant peu fréquenté, il nous a fallu appeler le serveur à trois reprises avant d’être simplement remarqués. Ce manque d’attention laisse perplexe.

Quant aux burgers, s’ils sont arrivés étonnamment vite, la suite a confirmé nos craintes : viande froide, à peine cuite (ni saignante, ni cuite, mais mal préparée), visiblement surgelée, sans aucun assaisonnement. Le tout recouvert d’un simple filet de ketchup et d’une feuille de salade posée là sans soin. Aucun goût, aucune finesse, aucun respect du produit.

Pour clore ce tableau peu reluisant, au moment de régler au comptoir, l’un des deux employés était en train de manger sa gamelle (une salade de riz dans une bassine en plastique) derrière le bar, face aux clients. L’image renvoyée est loin d’être professionnelle, et encore plus loin de l’esprit de votre maison.
