For gods sake, DO NOT EAT HERE! For unclear reasons, my friend decided that we should eat at Hooters for dinner on August 1, Swiss Independence Day. There was a town festival going on, the restaurant was reasonably busy but certainly not “busting at the seams”. To note, We are vacationing in Switzerland for 10 days, and we are from the US.
To the restaurants credit, The steak my friend ordered was prepared well, and the Breaded. Fried chicken breast that topped my supposed Cob salad was OK. My Cobb salad was not a Cobb salad at all. Calling it a chef’s salad is a bit generous. There were lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese (cheddar I think). No chives, No Avocado, No blue cheese, No vinaigrette. I did order 1000 Island dressing to spice it up.
Service was abysmal. The waitress who knew a little English, was not knowledgeable about the menu. My friend ordered a steak entree but wanted a small side salad in Lieu of the curly fries. The steak was served with cold tasteless curly fries anyway. The first attempt at a salad was one slice tomato, two wilted sheds of lettuce, and maybe a small pickle. The waitress appointed, had the kitchen staff view their masterpiece and a true small side salad appeared, eventually. When my friend asked for salad dressing, he was told that it would be an additional charge of CHF 1.50! My alleged Cobb salad was no better. It came from the kitchen without any dressing. Again, the kitchen staff viewed the salad. 15 minutes later dressing (from a bottle) appeared. My friend ordered “artisan lemonade” at the waitress’s recommendation, only to be told that the lemonade was not being served that day.
The best part of the meal was the menu, which has beautiful colored pictures of entrees the kitchen doesn’t seem to know how to prepare. The only part of the dinner where service was acceptable was getting us the check and bringing over the credit swipe machine when it was apparent we were leaving as I had finished my drink. Do your self a favor. When in Switzerland, especially Interlaken, eat...

First, The attitude of staff.
I ordered two pints of same beer(I don’t remebered the name of beer) and then I realized the difference of two beers( the temperature)
So, I said to the staff “I ordered the same beer but, one is cool and fresh. On the other hand, the other beer is not that cold”
They touched that beer which I mentioned. They said to me “ This is normal.”
I am definitely sure that there is huge difference between two same beers.
Ok, I understand that part, because If they changed the barrel of beer, It could be not cold.
HOWEVER, the staff’s attitude is very rude and they seemed to be unhappy.
Finally, I changed my beer, but that beer is also not that cold(I don’t understand this part why do I have to drink room temperature I paid too much )
Second, table checking.
Few minutes later, one of the staff came to the table and she checked “ Is everythig ok?” With no smile. (I fee that is her job. So that’s why she came to my table)
Again beer is not that cold but I don’t want to make a problem. That’s why I said to her “it’s ok” then right away she went her way.
I am not that sensitive person but I was unhappy with be served by these staff( not only one staff but also three staff)
The food is not that bad, but not that special.
I spent CHF90 three food and 3 pints of beer*

Read moreVery bad service! Unbelievable attitude from waiters - especially a waiter called Ola, after we sat outside, we tried to ask for the menu, she didn’t even give us a face, she looks at us and keep walking, We understood they are busy, so we stayed patients, we ordered finally after a while, we waited for our order for almost 50 min, then we found orders coming to other tables before us, we called waiters asking how long our order will need to be serviced and why other tables who sat after us are getting served before us, Ola answered with rude attitude; will check with the Kitchen, she came after 5 min stating that food will come in 2 min, i asked her about the appetizers, why cheese sticks need more than 45 min to come, can we at least get something quickly? she answered “We bring all food together” - i replied; why not appetizers before? She answered, because you don’t have appetizers in your order! We replied, what is Cheese Sticks then? She said; it is not a starter with a rude attitude! And it is Appetizer on their menu. We said, alright, if we don’t have our food in 5 min, we will leave. And it didn’t, so we went to the cashier to pay for our drinks, and 2 waiters were chatting at the counter and eating and they didn’t even care to apologize or mention that food is done! It was like ok, pay for drinks and don’t show your face anymore- the cashier girl had the same attitude! I cannot believe it - Hooters in US and Canada is totally...
