I spent 3 weeks in europe and didn’t write 1 review but this one due to the service. The waiter was pretty rude to me, solo traveler. First tells me to stop eating the bread he served me because “Americans” mess up their meal by eating bread before. Just kinda felt like he didn’t like Americans. Also found a hair in my soup that I ignored bc those things can happen. Spent 45 Frank as a solo traveler yikes, more than $50 USD for soup and raviolis! Both were tasty enough. But 2 days from then I returned as it was quick and easy from my hostel and ordered the soup. i came back from a hike and had a plastic water bottle with me. And since they charge for water, I just hid the water bottle by my backpack and asked to sit outside so that way I did not bother the culture of plastic water bottles on the table since I had a feeling he was not going to be happy. But even me trying to be polite about it by purposefully sitting outside when it was cold out so I was alone, he still yelled at me for “not being allowed to have plastic water bottle” at a restaurant. Couldn’t please this tall older man with glasses. He could be a little less grumpy. Not a great experience as a solo traveler feeling like the waiter hates everything you do! I’m just trying to eat my...
Read moreI have never treated in such unrepeatable way by a waiter throughout my travels across the travel,, At 1st he refused to give me a certain table claiming that it is for 6 people while we were only three! , in 3 min another guy ( only one) and he took the table Then , he was talking to us during the order in very strange way as if he didn’t wish to see us And when we finished the food he was rising the dishes and taking with him self in his language and i am sure what he was saying but i can feel bad feeling .. And at the end it was raining heavily out side and i went to bring the car closer to the restaurant and asked my kid and my wife to stay till i back , it took me 7 min and the waiter was giving them look “ why you still here “ .. since it was almost closing time , although there was some other people in the place … the only reason for all above that i could figure out is my wife was wearing hijab !!! This is very raciest that i never expected To see in such restaurants in interlaken while 70% of the tourists are from gulf countries at this time of the year !! I will never come back to this place and recommend you not to come.. And BTW the food level is very normal doesn’t...
Read moreThe food was all right. It would have been better if it didn't come with a side of attitude about the hot chocolate my wife brought in that was nearly finished and it would have been a shame to throw away such fine Swiss chocolate. They have signs all over the place about no outside food and drink, they say it detracts from the atmosphere. I would say that getting hugely bent out of shape about somebody bringing in a small cup of hot chocolate has a stronger effect on the atmosphere as well as literally a sign at every table and almost every wall about no outside food or drink. There are probably other pizza restaurants that offer better food and would welcome tourists who are trying all of the cuisine and delicacies that Switzerland has to offer. It's not like I brought in a whole extra meal from another restaurant and was taking up a seat that wasn't productive. We spent as much money as any two people sitting in their would. I probably would have spent more but I felt compelled to leave because my wife was so put off by our waiters attitude about the hot chocolate. Seriously, get over it, your attitude is costing you money and is not improving...
