I ordered the noodles soup with beef and papaya salad.
For someone who is not Thai but my family has originated from the Lao and Thai region, I will give my honest opinion.
The noodle soup was flavorful (similar to thai boat without the blood, so the broth isn't as thick). They do not have chili oil, but they do have dried grounded chili pepper(spicy, which I loved), fish sauce w/ fresh chili (also loved), and a couple other chili options. They did not have Sriracha, soy, or hoisin sauce, but the soup did not need it!
The papaya w/ crab tastes pretty solid. I have had some papaya salad in the U.S. and they didn't taste as good (Unless you're in a populated area with a lot of Hmong/Lao/Thai/Mien people, then your options are higher w/ quality and authentic food). I've been to Thailand, and it tastes relatively the same. The papaya does taste more like Thai style even though the aim is to be more like Laos. They have two styles som tum pu pla ra (which is the one I got) and som tum Thai.
Overall, the food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many asian restaurants they have here. I hope that Tom Yum Kung restaurant continues to thrive and serve authentic food to their customers. It very much felt like home.
I also don't know why they don't have as many reviews but definitely make a stop here if you are in the area.
This is just a friendly reminder that everyone's tastebud may be a little different, and this is just my personal opinion.
Side note, the atmosphere was very pleasing and inviting. I'm not sure if we went during closing time and didn't realize it until we sat down, but the staff were super sweet! They sat us down to eat anyway. They even offered another side of rice for my husband when he was done with his rice.🥹
My phone died so I didn't get to take a picture of the...
Read moreBE AWARE! Rudest owners/operators I have EVER experienced. We walked in and walked out in 2 minutes. My 2 year old was making some noise and they came running to our table to shush us. I said he’s a child, I’ll do my best to keep him quiet and she kept going shush shush baby. Needless to say, we walked out. Owner came outside and said go go, I said whattttt? He was so rude, got in my face and said go away, I said is this how you run your business? Is this how you treat people and customers? I asked if he had kids? Obviously no response and kept saying just go just go. We happily walked away. Word of advice: families with kids, avoid this place and their poor service. Many other options around with great...

Tasty spicy Thai food to warm our hearts and souls in the cold weather. Food was authentically Thai although my wife and I felt that it’s slightly less spicy than what we were used too in SEA (likely to cater to local tastebuds in Europe).
Staff was quick and friendly. Ambience was good. Food portion was pretty good too. There were non spicy options for my young son as well. All in all, we had a great time there enjoying the flavorful Thai food esp slurping on a good bowl of beef noodle soup in this cold weather!
I would definitely recommend all to give it a try if you are...
