Restaurant Arvenstube — Restaurant in Zermatt

This is the worst racism i have ever experienced in any city in the world. Apparently in this hotel if you are white you are allowed to walk in and grab any table but if you are black brown or any other nationality you are not. My advise to them they should put a board that south Asians not allowed. The staff is rude to the core and misbehave and used literal words like that is why we don't allow u people when i raised my concerns. Extreme racist staff and I would strongly advise if you are south Asian be careful with their staff specially the ladies and the girl with specs who are serving over their and better find an alternative if you don't want to get humiliated in front of everyone. The reason I am writing this review because they said initially they don't have table we said ok we will wait, we wer politely waiting for one hour and observed white people walking in and they are giving table to them and this happened thrice and when we requested wen we saw a table got vacant they strated misbehaving with my wife who was standing with a one year old baby in front of everyone asked her to get out. Anyways I raises my voice because not anybody else should face which we faced but please be careful from this extremely not rude but deep down sick racist staff, because rudenes can come from stress but this is just pure hate to a particular race which they think they still think they have white skin privileges. I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Arvenstube in the beautiful historic hotel Waldhaus on top of the hill at Sils Maria. The hotel kindly accepted to pick us up and drive us back to our different hotel in Sils Maria. Quite practical as the walk up/down hill in winter can be quite slippery. The hotel is amazing inside with lots of wood and musicians. Overall the food was very good but with a few hick-ups that were solved only after lengthy discussions with management of the restaurant. Outstanding restaurant with friendly service and delicious high quality food. Charming atmosphere and the noise level allows one to have a quiet and normal conversation with your dinner guests. The restaurant is located in the lower level of the Pollux Hotel, so it can be a little difficult to find this restaurant from the exterior street. There is a web page for making a reservation and a wait list for reservations, which are highly recommended.
