Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Easily in the top 3 dinners of my life. We ate here twice during our stay in Zermatt, and every dish was outstanding. It's hunting season in Switzerland right now and the seasonal game specials were perfection: venison carpaccio, venison bolognese, and the wild boar fillet with spätzle and porcini was our favorite – classic Swiss comfort food but elevated in the best way after a long day outdoors. The meringue with vermicelles dessert was out of this world and something we’ll dream about for a long time. Perfectly paired with a local chestnut port wine per recommendation from server.

The setting is just as special: stunning, unobstructed Matterhorn views, and a chalet-style interior with ornate wood details in the true Swiss tradition that still feels bright and modern. Service was impeccable and friendly, with highly trained staff (a rarity these days) offering personal recommendations that were spot-on. It’s the perfect Zermatt vibe: warm, romantic, elegant, and truly memorable. We can’t wait to return and try more dishes...

If I could give everything 10 stars, I would. Firstly we would like to say thank you to Fiorella who was beyond wonderful with her attentiveness, service and lovely energy. We came up for a drink on the terrace and after the wonderful service from Fiorella, we decided we wanted to come back for dinner due to the kindness and service we received from her. From the wine to the incredible food that we got to enjoy at dinner, to the service from also Majorie in the restaurant, we were blown away and only wished we had more time in Zermatt to return here again. The views of the Matterhorn from both the terrace and the restaurant left us speechless. If you’re in Zermatt, this is one restaurant you will want to visit. All the way from Australia, thank you from us and we hope Schnoegg recognises the wonderful and kind staff here, it is rare to have such lovely service in the world....

We had a window table so got to enjoy the fantastic view of Matterhorn the entire time!

We especially liked Kohlrabi for it’s fresh, tasty and pretty; Kalbstafelspitz for it’s soooo tender, yummy and beautiful; and affogato!

Our server was a lovely young lady, very friendly...
