In the heart of Bangkok, a city synonymous with perpetual vibrance, nestled away from the usual hustle and bustle, one finds the delightful little gem that is Flower Cafe. It's a peaceful haven, a delightful divergence from the city's non-stop energy, offering much-needed respite for weary city dwellers and curious travelers alike.
Upon entering, one is instantly charmed by the cafe's inviting decor, which effortlessly evokes a sense of tranquility. The carefully curated ambiance pays homage to the traditional Thai aesthetic while simultaneously exuding a modern, trendy appeal. Each corner is thoughtfully designed, appealing to anyone seeking an Instagram-worthy spot, or simply a peaceful nook to read a book.
But what truly brings the essence of Flower Cafe to life is its owner, Siranee - fondly known as Ying. Her warmth radiates throughout the space, further amplifying the already welcoming atmosphere. It is clear that every aspect of the cafe, from its decor to the meals served, has been touched by her care and attention.
The cafe's culinary offerings are nothing short of delightful, each packed with tantalizing flavors that promise a memorable gastronomic experience. The dishes feel homemade, further adding to the overall homely ambiance. Whether you're a food enthusiast seeking an explosion of flavors or a coffee connoisseur in search of your next perfect brew, Flower Cafe will not disappoint.
Flower Cafe provides the perfect environment to relax and recharge. Soft, soothing music whispers in the background, allowing you to lose yourself in your thoughts, a good book, or perhaps a meaningful conversation. It's a sanctuary in the city where time seems to slow down, offering an unparalleled experience of tranquility amidst the chaos.
I cannot recommend Flower Cafe enough. It's not just a place to eat or drink - it's an experience. A journey of flavors, a relaxing retreat, and most importantly, a reminder of the simplicity and beauty life can offer. Thanks to Ying and her fantastic team for creating such a fantastic haven in the heart of Bangkok. I am already looking forward to...
Read moreIf you want a comfy place to eat great food and watch the interesting street life this is the place to be, down a quiet soi with a couple of tables out front and a big communal table inside.
The owner Ying is a fantastic host and loves to have a good chat with the guests or explain the recipes etc. This is your chance to really have a good talk to a local.
Ying is also fantastic cook and if they don't have what you want on the menu just ask, or turn up with some ingredients you want cooked, she is happy to oblige. All the dishes I tried were authentic, maybe a little more suited to western tastes than some of the street food stalls (e.g. not so spicy), but definitely well made and with lots of love. The other staff were also lovely and very attentive. Ying is also a master when it comes to amazing flower arrangements as you can see in the photo. Highly recommended, even if you just want a snack and a few beers late at night (open till two am) you will be welcomed. A great place to watch life...
Read moreFlower Cafe Had lunch in this little hideaway eatery downtown Bamgkok. Came here because of recommendations from friends.
Ordered the tomyam soup with grill pork collar and a mango sticky rice for desserts. The soup was very nice. Not overly sour or spicy, but yet still have that distinctive TYam taste. Pork collar was also great, well-grilled, tasty and flavourful. Mango sticky rice was nice too. Overall, 9/10 for the food.
The price, though, was on the high side for a small place like this. But for what it is, the service was really not too bad.
Many travellers have probably eaten and enjoyed their meals here judging from the many messages left on the walls.
Lady boss was friendly and chatty too. Speaks good English and a good chef.
If you are longing for proper Thai food and around the vicnity, should give this...
