Sky on 20 — Restaurant in Khlong Toei Subdistrict

The perfect place to ruin your evening.

Service:"Do you have a reservation, sir?". Me: "No. Table for 3, please, with one person joining us later." We got seats at a far, far corner with a wall view at Sky on 20. Fair. No reservation.

Ordered a "kind of" free flow for 2 hours. Why "kind of"? The service was that slow, that you have to walk back to the bar and order by yourself. Once seated, I walked to the bar and ordered a bottle of Chandon for the just on the day married couple. Stressed out, that I would like to have the nice seat on the front as soon as available. Staff: "Maybe one hour, sir.". Me: "Perfect". 2 hours later, after many dinks ordered by myself as the staff didn't pay attention, our free flow was running out, I moved towards the bar again asking about my requested seat and the Chandon I ordered 2 hours ago for the bride and the groom Well, that was the moment, when the staff told me that Chandon wasn't available tonight but I can choose between a cheap Italian Prosecco or an Champagne four times more expensive as the Chandon. My question, why I haven't been told after I ordered the Chandon 2 hours earlier, wasn't answered. Well, what to do? Didn't get the seat promised 1 hour after arrival. I didn't get the drink ordered and have been told of no availability two hours later. What I can tell, the "Just married" couple was disappointed. Me to. We paid and left. I came here the other Friday night and just came with a group of people with my ex Pat group - we all had a great time there was some really good cocktail and beer specials that night and Oktoberfest was ending because it was at the end of September they had some really good deals for October fastest food!

I didn’t need although I would’ve loved to but I had already had a bite to eat and I wasn’t hungry when I got there but I sure did enjoy the drinks !

🍹 Contact the bar and make your reservations because the night got busier as we got there around 5 o’clock ! By that time later on it was hardly any seats left!

It is located at a central location Soi 20 - that was really convenient for everyone to get there!

I would have you recommend to go here make sure that you do make your reservations and know exactly what their specials are cause they’re really good !

Went to try their mookata on the sky, and it was NOT something I would recommend and not worth the price paid:

1. Space: tables are too small with the mookata grill taking up most of the space. Distance between tables are too tight where it was difficult to walk

2. Food: mookata was extremely simple in terms of taste and seasoning, no introduction/menu of what it was, how it was gonna be (eg how to cook with the lard), and I could not specify what we did or didn't want eg liver, squid, prior to them serving the food. Vegetables were in big pieces that would not even fit into the soup eg a whole leaf of lettuce. The fried garlic rice was cold and not flavourful

3. Ambience: music ok, there was an ongoing birthday party which made it noisy for other guests, it was too dark to see the food cooking

4. Service: was mediocre and slow considering when we arrived there were 3 tables occupied and more than 5 servers. However they understood...
