The food and the overall atmosphere of the place was quite OK. But the fact that they INSULT customers by asking them to give credit cards AS A DEPOSIT to the staff before making any order is just unacceptable. Why do they treat customers as a potential thieves? First time in my life i met such hospitality in a restaurant! I take as an huge insult. They literally have small "business-card size album" where they keep customers credit cards for the duration of their stay. But do not worry, they will give you a "ticket" which you can exchange back for your credit card after you pay for your dinner.

Yes Yes. The manager has explained to us that this "friendly policy" applies only in cases when customers would like to split the bill while sitting at the same table. (if we sat on separate tables our credit cards wouldn't have to be collected in advance, since the staff could easier "monitor us").

We recently came to The Deck as a group. Me and one of my friends refused to give our credit cards to the staff so they could hold it as a "HOSTAGE" before placing orders. We were therefore asked to pay immediately after every single order.

Small disclaimer: we were not a "high risk" group of drunk tourists. All of us went there directly after work for a nice dinner together. And everyone was completely sober upon arrival.

I really admire this awesome SECURE payment policy. Making sure your customers won't steal from you is the top priority after all.. am i right?

But seriously. Of course i understand your concern - occasionally some customer probably would leave the place without paying... It's sad but it happens. But it's still not the reason to treat ALL of your customers as potential thieves... Food wise- love the menu and choices of food. I got my food SO QUICKLY I was surprised! Staff are super lovely and have a customer first approach, shoutout to the manager as she took care of us super well.

My only critique would be the preparation of the food. Snacks and light appetisers were great and food tasted good.

I wouldn’t mind have waiting a little longer for the big plates as I can see it was a little rushed (probably because they want to wow customers for their service which I was well impressed with!) BUT I wouldn’t mind waiting a little longer for it to be prepped a little better.

Our appetizers were the fried mac and cheese and jamaican patties. I loved the patties and I was pleasantly surprised as it’s not common to find here! The mac and cheese, I wish there was a bit more flavour or a smoky cheese added to it, may just be personal preference but it tasted a little bland. The crunch was 10/10 though!

My main was the fajitas- chicken was clearly a bit burnt and dry seems like really high heat was used, soft tortillas were crispy which might have meant they left it too long to heat up and rice was rock hard like it’s been microwaved but the staff brought was happy to replace the rice which was cooked perfectly and fluffy!

Oreo cheesecake was our dessert and was the star of the meal! I didn’t know there’d be whip cream which I think is a little overkill but again personal preference, I just scooped it off.

Price was very affordable, rare to find in a spot in the heart of Phrompong.

The place was so beautiful and had a great vibe with fun music that fit the venue but that was all.

The soft drinks came with no ice The fajita was bland and no salsa The saddest looking chicken wings and also tasteless The top 2, we asked for them and they were served.

Pizza was ok but nothing special. Couldn't taste the truffle. Food was very random from Italian, Mexican, American, Thais etc. If they were focus on a few, maybe it could have been better.

The staff were rushing to take away plates as soon as we put the cutleries down. When asking for check, we asked for scan then as soon as we did, they just walked away. We asked 3 times for them to wait because sometimes it wouldn't go through. Everything felt so rush. We thought maybe they were closing soon but it was only 8pm ish and the place was closing at 11pm as per google.

It was raining hard when we left. I saw the staff were outside with huge umbrella. I thought it was for service but I was wrong. When my ride arrived, they just stood there doing nothing. I couldn't be bothered and ran through the rain.
