My honest feedback as follows as an “Asian” from Southeast Asia:
Do read all the lowest rating reviews and a sequence of staff incompetence will be revealed.
Food is decent but it’s not fantastic. Especially if you have visited barcelona before, it’s a simple tapas bar, that’s all.
Service is unpleasant and terrifying.
If you’re 1 or 2 pax, not a big group, the portion is huge. Even if you are willing to pay the full menu price, request for smaller portion, they serve with an unhappy face and upset about customising. Example : Croquettas minimum 5 pieces, Bellota 150g, etc. Salads are big portion too except insalata with little tuna and half an egg scattered.
Generally, staff are unfriendly.
5.Staff are unclear about menu quantity of food recommendation when advising customers for 1pax , 2 pax walk-ins.
6.This is not a fine dining to take the tailored expectations, casual dining are expected to be people-friendly.
Staff did inform us that they are so successful that walk-ins do not matter. They don’t really care.
Spanish owner not keen to even listen to walk-in customers experience or staff incompetence in understanding what situations customers faced when he’s not around.
According to him, business is too good, he’s not bothered whether we like his food or not.
Owner listens to every word his staff says not the customers. Don’t bother explaining your circumstances, I don’t get the feeling that they are looking to grow & evolve on service experience.
More importantly, owner said “you’re 2 out of 1000 customers who are unhappy with the service attitude, it doesn’t matter”.
I would recommend you to read every review 1/5 or 2/5 from google. It makes a difference if you are planning in visiting this place only once in your life, recommend to your friends or wanting to repeat visiting again.
They do judge you by your outlook. Be prepared.
If you’re a really a Spanish food fan, Bangkok is pretty huge. Many good alternative options in Sukhumvit that we have discovered.
El Tapeo, Sukhumvit 61 Terra, Phetchaburi road El Willy Spanish kitchen, Sukhumvit 51
Bangkok is known for amazing customer experience. Leave this spot and save it for a restaurant that really makes you feel at home.

Read moreJamón Jamón Bangkok is a slice of Spain that stole my heart! Walking in, I was enveloped by a cozy, inviting ambiance and the irresistible aroma of authentic Spanish dishes. The staff’s attentiveness is unmatched—every smile, recommendation, and check-in made me feel like a cherished guest. The owner? An absolute gem! Their warmth and passion for creating a home-away-from-home vibe shine through in every detail, making you feel like family from the first moment. The food? Pure magic! The jamón ibérico was silky and bursting with nutty depth, while the chorizo brought a smoky, spicy kick that left me craving more. The croquetas were golden, creamy perfection—each bite a warm hug of flavor. The octopus, tender and beautifully charred, was elevated by a drizzle of olive oil that sang of the Mediterranean. The padrón peppers were a delightful gamble—mostly mild with a thrilling pop of heat. And the Ribeiro wine? Crisp, aromatic, and the perfect companion to every dish, it tied the meal together like a love song. For dessert, the pudding was a velvety, indulgent dream that had me scraping the bowl. This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a home where every dish tells a story and every moment feels personal. Jamón Jamón Bangkok is a must-visit treasure in Bangkok—I’m already counting down to my...
Read moreIf you're looking for good cheap wine, this place is decent. However, if you're after food, it's quite disappointing. There's nothing Spanish about it. Everything we tried was bland and tasteless, reminiscent of an old Soviet canteen. This is unacceptable given the premium pricing. For starters, I wanted anchovy toasts, but the waiter suggested anchovies with tomatoes, claiming it was better for sharing. We received eight tiny anchovies and eight tomato slices—a very small portion. Next, I tried the grilled blue cheese, which smelled and tasted bad, unlike real blue cheese. The bread underneath was like a hot dog bun from 7-Eleven, neither toasted nor flavorful. For the main course, my friends had a pork knuckle in tomato sauce stew. It was tasteless, and there was nothing Spanish about it—no spice, no flavor. We also tried the seafood paella. The waiter said it would take 30 minutes, suggesting it was made from scratch. However, it arrived too dry, the seafood was unpleasant, and the taste was disappointing. On a positive note, the service is good, the waitresses are friendly, and there's a good selection of reasonably priced wine. But if you're looking for good Spanish food,...
