I hate to leave a bad review, but this place had the worst sashimi I’ve ever had in my life.
I came here at 7pm on a Friday, and the first thing I notice is that this entire restaurant is empty save for one table of four. I’m slightly unsettled by this, but we were in the mood for sushi and I read all the good reviews so we sat down anyways.
Our party ordered a la carte instead of the buffet option. I got the kaisen donburi don, which is mixed sashimi pieces and tamago over rice. We also got some rolls for the table. The donburi was really bad; the sashimi pieces were all rubbery and the texture was just off. I ate every type of sashimi included in the bowl to make sure, and all of them were off-putting. The rolls were acceptable, but more akin to premade grocery store sushi than what I’d expect from an actual sushi place.
I’m not a sushi snob or anything - I enjoy eating crappy gas station sushi, not just fancy omakase - but this is the first time in my life I’ve had such a visceral distasteful reaction to raw fish, it just did not feel right at all. I would not eat here again.
On to the positives, the staff were excellent and service was attentive, plus the restaurant has nice ambiance and huge windows which afford great views of Bangkok at night. Also despite the weird taste of the sashimi I did not get food poisoning, so the food...

Read moreThe 1499 ++ baht japanese buffet is value for money. Love the A5 beef which you can eat unlimitedly. No need to choose one when you can have A5 beef as both sukiyaki and shabu. Sashimi is fresh and of high quality. Just love tuna, hamaji, salmon and hotate (scallops). You should try ebi tempura and kami miso. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant is on 4th floor so you have...
