We came here on the first day of moving to our new condo. This restaurant is located near where we live, and I was so tired from moving in, so I was looking forward to eating a nice food, but turned out very disappointed. We ordered scallops, steak, lobster, soup, etc and the taste was good, although I never seen a lobster that small, almost like a river prawn. When we got tagliolini, it looked different than we thought, so my husband asked the waiter "I think we didn't order this...?" and the waiter replied "No you ordered this. You don't know what tagliolini is?" in a harsh manner. I never saw a waiter almost like if he is mad, looking down on customers, and not even checking if we ordered or not. It turned out that we did order so the waiter was right, but it doesn't mean that he can say whatever and act whatever. We never had problem with this waiter before so I don't know what turned him on...
I would not come back here again, even though it's in my neighborhood. I would rather go to the restaurants around me, since there are plenty of others which serve this quality. It was a nice view, but I would rather cook by myself and eat overlooking the view that I have from my room which is quite the same as this place, so I can eat calmly without being yelled by someone!
Oh, by the way, looking at the review afterwards, the replies from the owner to the bad reiews were bunch of excuses...Now I know why the waiter acted that way, because the owner is pretty rough on customers too! It's a shame that this kind of restaurant is located inside the top-notch hotel...or maybe it is not a good hotel perhaps? This restaurant choose customers. I think this is totally fine, but not a restaurant for me! Customers have right to choose...

A bit of context. It's our 20th wedding anniversary. We both love beef and wanted to make it special. Waldorf Astoria is a top hotel brand and B&B is their signature restaurant. Knew it would not be cheap going in, but expected the experience to justify the price. It did not…by a long shot.
It was a lot of small things. This is a fine dining restaurant and they do not have table cloths !? After our starter, the wait staff wiped off the table with a sponge!? The amuse bouche was two small fried egg rolls filled with meat. Huh? The bread was basic. The plates and silverware have an Ikea look to them.
We ordered a bone in 1.1 Kg ribeye (their premium cut and priced to match), a caesar salad and two sides. No wine, no desert. The bill was 10,500 THB ($320)!!
The ribeye was overcooked in some places, the caesar was basic and not prepared table side, as is often the case in top restaurants. The sides were uninspired. Neither the manager or maitre 'd came by and asked about the meal.
They were gracious to waive the corkage charge for our wine, and the waiter was very attentive. The reservations staff knew it was our 20th anniversary, and while we were not expecting anything, a simple acknowledgement from management or staff would have been nice gesture.
Net net, we went expecting a fine dining experience and what we got was an average meal. As I tell others, we paid the maximum and got...
Read moreCelebrated my wife’s birthday at Bull and Bear Bangkok. What a great location with a lovely view of the city. We had such a great time from the moment we stepped in, being warmly welcomed by the front of house and by all the servers.
We were served by Eddy and his female colleague (really sorry as we had forgotten to ask for her name). Both Eddy and his colleague took superb care of us. They went above and beyond with their service. Eddy helped us out with the menu and suggested the best dishes. He was so attentive to our needs and was quick to bring extra towels and change of napkins when needed without any prompting. His colleague was so patient with us and she took great photos too! She made sure my glass was never empty. They both engaged us in conversation which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Food was amazing and was brought out swiftly. We ordered the beef tartare, foie gras, striploin, lamb rack and mac&cheese. I liked the red wine that was recommended by Eddy.
Overall highest commendation to the chefs and the staff at Bull & Bear for giving us one of the best dining experience in Bangkok and especially so for a special occasion!
Would come back...
