I had an amazing experience at Havuzbaşi. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a great balance of modern style and cozy comfort. Expensive "restaurant" that will give you food poisoning. Terrible service, terrible quality of food. My husband ordered a meal with chicken and got beef. After complaining, they brought the "correct" meal that was wrong, again. It had pieces of beef. When we complained again, a waiter shrugged and just left. My meal had very old chicken that tasted terrible and I ended up with painful food poisoning. Waiters are extremely unprofessional and they see a customer as a walking wallet. Their waiters have hierarchy where young guys (who don't speak any english) are running around and doing all hard work, while "higher" waiters are standing and giving them orders through an earphone. Disgusting food! I came here once 8 years ago and had the chicken kebab meal. It was awful and tasteless but I thought that was just me as I am not a big fan of Turkish and Middle Eastern food in general. I decided to order the Arrabbiata to be on the safe side but even such a basic meal was so disappointing. Firstly, there was not even any tomato sauce! It was just overcooked pasta and chopped vegatables with dried herbs sprinkled around the plate. My husband ordered a Spaghtetti Bolognaise but it had less than a teaspoon of minced meat in it! Again, no tomato sauce either. He complained so they added more minced meat and a chopped tomato. Service was rubbish as well. I wish I checked the reviews...
