What an unexpected surprise. Was looking for a cafe while we were wandering around and this popped up on our Google maps. So glad it did! Brilliant brunch and brekkie menu and staff were lovely too. Great vibe and ceiling and some walls covered in old coffee sacks. Food was excellent and sad I didn’t have room for a cake šŸ˜ž. Will make sure I’m mega hungry next time as portions are a good size! Keep up the good works guys as this is what we need more of. Small but great quality independents 🌟 P.S. anyone who takes this much time to make a coffee look good has to be a great place šŸ˜. Got to be the best cappuccino decor I’ve seen and I’ve seen quite a few šŸ˜

Lovely little place but I went in with a taste for some bread, splashed out the Ā£4.50 for the higher priced sourdough, and hey maybe because I’m 20 I don’t look like I know bread so they just gave me a cheaper white loaf, but I know bread, that ain’t no sourdough!!! The guy serving me even picked up gloves to put on to get me it then saw a cling filmed piece that he wouldn’t have to waste time gloving up for, so that’s what I think it was personally. DONT GET ME WRONG ITS GOOD BREAD!!!! But if I pay Ā£4.50 for something I want it to be what it says it is

Popped into the Wonky Tulip on a Sunday walk around the old town , been meaning to do for ages and today was the day ! I ordered the Croque Madame which is a ham & cheese toastie with discs of fried bread on top and fried eggs and a side salad ! This is the first time I've had it and I'll sure be having it again , one of the best brunches I've had in a long time ! The dish in the background is poached eggs with mushrooms on seeded bread ( shop made btw ) which apparently was also delicious!

Lovely little place ordered two cappuccinos and two bacon sandwiches sat outside and was excited because that all came to nearly 18 pound, out came two luke warm drinks in polystyrene cups and not a lovely coffee cup,and two sandwiches ,honestly 1 rasher of rock hard bacon in flat bread that had been toasted and was also hard, saying it was hard to eat and dry is a understatement. I didn't really complaine has they were so polite and asked if it was OK I politely told them no it was so hard and seriously overpriced for what we received,we went feeling a bit deflated but cmon guys I know price of bacon has gone to but that was terrible and the coffee nice ,but not hot and in a poly cup just didn't justify what I paid ,but yes service 2nd to none...

Wonky Tulip in the heart of Hulls Old Town serves custom-crafted sandwiches, fresh artisan breads, coffee superior to the brands with crafted cakes and salads create a meal masterpiece. It has a fun, welcoming environment that can be enjoyed with those you love. The menu is created with an emphasis on freshness and taste, baked fresh with a distinctly unique method that results in an amazing taste experience. To call it a sandwich shop almost criminally underplays what’s going on here. It’s a restaurant with starters, mains and desserts, it’s a party with the ultimate host, it’s a friend’s dining room, and everyone’s welcome. Next time you’re reaching for a meal deal, just remember to think about what...
