I’d like to start off with the service because no matter whether or not the place is run down, service matters. The staff at Common breads do an amazing job at delivering an exceptional service to its customers.
A special mention to Mr Abbas Who was extremely nice and generous.
Now I would like to discuss the actual interior of the place. The interior does an amazing job at blending in modern architecture as well as including the soul of Lebanon. It really brought me back home. I can’t wait to return here, especially during winter days as it gives a great cozy feeling.
There is no doubt or question that an exceptional amount of effort and time is put into preparing the food here, a very authentic taste which cannot be replicated unless its sourced from Lebanon, which I really struggle to find in London or anywhere outside of Lebanon in general. When I asked where the food is sourced from such as the Zaatar, my belief was confirmed as indeed it was sourced from Lebanon.
I’m a huge coffee lover, I’ve never been to a place that does good food AND good coffee, Common Breads nailed it! The coffee was smooth, did not leave a strong taste in my mouth and was the perfect blend.
This will for sure be my new favourite spot to come alone or with family and friends who are lifelong Lebanese cuisine lovers or...

Stepping into Common Breads feels like a warm embrace. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly baked Lebanese bread enveloped me, transporting me straight to the streets of Beirut.
The staff are genuinely kind and attentive, making you feel like a cherished guest rather than just another customer. Their passion for their craft is evident in every interaction and bite.
I indulged in their musakhan manouche—a delightful twist on traditional Palestinian roast chicken, infused with sumac and caramelized onions. The butter and jam ka’ak, is a must every time.
Their desserts are a revelation. The knafeh, with its delicate layers and hint of orange blossom, paired beautifully with a cup of Ozone coffee.
What sets Common Breads apart is their commitment to authenticity and quality. Everything is baked on-site daily, and you can witness the artistry in their open kitchen—a therapeutic scene of dough being rolled, shaped, and baked to perfection. Down to the smallest details—like the shape of their lighting fixtures.
In a city filled with eateries, Common Breads stands out as a beacon of genuine hospitality and culinary excellence. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience. I can’t...

From the moment you walk into the shop, you’re greeted warmly by the wonderful staff who make you feel at home. I had my food to take away but there was seating available and the decor was really tasteful and elegant (I loved that you could see directly into the kitchen).
I ordered the lamb shawarma in Kaak bread (the staff confirmed that all the meat served here at the bakery is Halal), the chickpea tabbouleh and the chocolate tahini brownie. The lamb shawarma was incredible, the meat was so fresh and flavourful and I loved the sauce and pickles they included in the sandwich. The chocolate tahini brownie is an absolute must-try! I wasn’t going to order it but they had samples of it out and I could not get over how good it tasted so I ended up getting one! The tahini cuts through the sweetness giving the brownie a very balanced taste and the batter of the brownie is also very light.
I cannot wait to come back here and try the mana’eesh. If you’re in the area, definitely give Common Breads a try, a...
