Wetherspoons Victoria Station – A Pit Stop with Personality. If you're dashing through London and need a pint, a plate, or a moment of peace, Wetherspoons Victoria Station delivers exactly what you'd expect—and a little more if you're lucky. 🍳 Food & Drink The menu’s classic Spoons: affordable, predictable, and surprisingly satisfying when you’re running on train fumes. I had chicken nuggets, Chips and beans off the childs menu. Top Top - More than enough for adult and cheaper. 👥 Atmosphere It’s got that “concourse chaos meets pub calm” vibe. You’ll find solo commuters nursing lagers, tourists puzzling over the app, and the occasional group treating it like a pre-theatre lounge. The decor’s nothing fancy, but the seating’s comfy enough to forget you’re above WHSmith.🧍♂️ Service Staff are courteous and efficient, even when the place is buzzing. Don’t expect silver service, but they keep things moving and mostly get the orders right. But staff did look like they were going clubbing straight after work. Gold chains and shortest of short dresses. (Short enough to see bum cheek) 💸 Value For central London, the prices are a minor miracle. Whether it’s breakfast at £2.99 or a pint that doesn’t require a mortgage, it’s a budget-friendly oasis. 📍 Location You can’t beat the convenience. It’s literally perched above the station, making it ideal for train delays, quick meetups, or a last-minute bite before heading south. ⭐ Overall 3.7/5 – Not a destination pub, but a reliable, affordable, and oddly comforting stop in the heart of...
Read moreUnique setting as its above the station concourse, but it does justice in competing against the other corporate food establishments situated below at ground level. Update 30/05/23. It appears that a lot of Wetherspoons are suffering a food shortage, either that or they are experiencing a huge increase in customers recently. In this particular establishment on the early evening visit I have to say that probably only a whopping 40% of what was advertised was actually available. This includes the Real Ales advertised as well. 🙄
But this doesn't seem to be exclusive to this place, as I have noticed recently over the last month on at least 6 occasions that other pubs (in and out of London), are suffering with lack of availability of the products actually advertised. Do they have a problem with their suppliers or are the Managers not ordering enough stock ? 🤔 I wonder if others have noticed this happining to them .
Update 23/08/23 paid a visit and for some reason I looked at this place In a totally different light. Most Weatherspoons have some sort of theme running through them, be it its decor or the way they have retained the ambience of the building in the conversion. In this case neither applies, the establishment is really dull and looks very dull with No attraction at all. The place looks worn out and old in many aspects. The prices have rocketed especially with regards to the Real Ale. The price in my local Weatherspoons for a price of Doombar £2:19p the price here for the same item is a...
Read moreJust had the most appalling server. Just for some context this was on a Monday at 2pm and was fairly empty. It started with us sitting down and realising the table was filthy due to the last customers, I’ve walked in the pub and saw a woman who I presume is the manager as she was not in general Wetherspoon uniform, she spoke to a customer next to me who was also waiting answered his query and walked off which is fine she may not have noticed me. She came back around and I just asked to have a bottle of cleaning spray to clean my table as I did not mind doing it my self her attitude immediately dropped and sent another colleague over to clean our table.
I ordered my food with a Alcoholic drink and the drinks arrived she turned to me and asked for my ID which I happily handed over. She proceeded to analyse my ID and looked at me and see she could not see me in my ID (I presume was because I had blonde hair, other than that there was nothing wrong with the picture) she handed back my ID and walked off and left the drinks tray on the table.
Later on we received our food it turned out I had ordered twice which I had no issue with. As she was letting me know that there was 2 of the same items I said that was totally fine and it was my mistake as I order off the App, she replied with “I hope you are hungry” and walked off. Maybe she was trying to have a joke but from all events that came up to this it felt incredibly snarky and rude.
Food was Okay,...
