I was refused my pickup order twice after I tried to use my loyalty rewards at this Arlington Ballpark location.
After the 1st failed visit on 8/28/20, I emailed app support and called corporate office (I was promised a call within 72 hours-NEVER HAPPENED). I shared how the store told me they do not participate in the loyalty rewards that I got on their app! I had to send another email to complain on 9/23/20, and they finally apologized, gave me back my rewards points, and they specifically said (in the email) that all stores participate in the loyatly points, even the Arlington Ballpark location.
Today, 10/8/20, I cashed in my reimbursed rewards to try again. Same situation, except this time the cashier called the manager (who was conveniently just outside at that moment). He (I think his name is Sal) came in rudely, telling me that they do not participate in the loyalty rewards. He said I would not be able to get my food, and that I could take it up with corporate. I told him I already did, and they refunded my points, and told me that all stores, including this store are supposed to participate in the loyalty rewards. He said that is not true (even though I showed him the email to prove it). He said I was being aggressive and that I was not going to get my food. He should not be able to represent your brand. Or maybe you tolerate that behavior (which says more about you than him).
There was also a lady that was complaining to the cashier about the customer service issue she was having at the same time this was taking place. A few minutes after the order was placed someone from the restaurant called & said they were closed. We discussed a refund since the business was closed. Gentlemen assured me that my money would be refunded since they were unable to fulfill it. I gave it a week or so due to the holiday. After a week passed no refund. I called & spoke to several people, all of whom seemed incompetent. After explaining myself several times & providing card information so a refund can be processed nothing was done. I received another call from another gentleman asking for more information. At this point it's ridiculous that management can't speak with their staff to get information & rectify the situation. So here was yet another person who allegedy took my information to correct a mistake they made. Here it is almost 3 weeks later & no refund. I decided to call this evening and the person I spoke with said he miraculously saw notes where the refund has been processed. Negative! I asked him how was the refund processed if I received a message stating more information was needed. He was very short & suggested I contact my bank to figure it out. Upon telling him I work for my bank the tune quickly changed. He claims he will pass my information on to Mr. Castillo who left me a message requesting more information. You already have the date, amount, time, and card information so what more do you need, a pint of blood?! Read moreThis is my second trip to the ballpark way location. I was tempted in with a free sandwich, upon arrival at 8:39pm, the website says there are no time slots available for pickup. So... WASTED GAS, WASTED TIME, SECOND CONSECUTIVE DISAPPOINTMENT FROM THIS DICKIES LOCATION. I'VE GIVEN THEM TWO SHOTS AND THEY FAIL MISERABLY BOTH TIMES. The manager offered to do something if I downloaded the app but, I don't have space on my phone for the app. So I am not capable of this. I just advise people to pick some other barbeque place. There are plenty and a lot less of a hassle to get an order without veiled pick up time slots and hidden fees. Save your time and your gas and avoid the annoyance.
Previous encounter: I stopped in for a to-go order. While at the counter I noticed I had a recycle charge attached to each of the two orders placed separately. I asked the staff at the carryout area what the charge was for and no one had an answer. All they could tell me is that the company charges that. Both of my orders were a sandwich each so, the two sandwiches were placed in the same bag. I don't like that I got charged an extra .50 per sandwich with no explanation. The menu says one price and their hidden fee jacks it up to a different price. That is eerily similar to bait and switch tactics.
