This Starbucks has been having some SERIOUS ISSUES. Today when I came in no greeting from baristas no smiles, 2 people standing by drive thru window when one could have been in a different section of the store. Also, I waited for 3 minutes and during that entire time and sometime before I arrived they had the cash drawer sitting out on the counter just unattended with tons of cash just thrown on top of it and bills just way out of order and that’s really stupid of any barista to do. It was sitting so close to where a customer who is ordering inside the store stands where they are just inches away from where they had the cash just sitting out. This is Texas, not San Francisco. Anybody could come in and easily reach over and easily steal all that cash because nobody was paying any attention to the front of the store. One of the baristas even had their espresso drink sitting out which they were working on drinking and had just lazily placed right next to their cash register. That is actually a health violation and big top Starbucks health inspectors for the company do not like seeing employees do disgusting stuff like that and it just looks bad to the customers and definitely makes me not want to order from this store again. I bet they aren’t properly cleaning the drains in store that’s very common at a lot of Starbucks stores and goes unnoticed. A big part of the Starbucks job is making amazing drinks while providing amazing experience to the guests because a drink cost on average $8, so naturally an amazing service is expected; then the other big part of the job is cleaning EVERYTHING when you have nothing to do, or one person can hop off the production line to make sure the store is in tip top shape. I expect no less from Starbucks. Today at 5pm no one greeted me, 3 baristas stood at their stations and made no eye contact with me didn’t give a quick, “cue smilehey we’re super busy but we will be right with you thanks for being patient cue smile” ha and they weren’t busy at all, had less than 2 cars in drive through and no people inside. My drinks are never correct and even when they are they just taste like watered down coffee and it’s a gross taste. The baristas men and women are rude here no smiles. The reason I came in today around 5pm was to redeem the $3 grande offer. The offer doesn’t really specify whether it can only be used once during Monday through Wednesday and the barista girl with a frown and bad tone said they don’t know anything. So I left because of all the baristas bad attitudes in the store I just felt like they were going to make my drink taste bad or put in no effort to the drink making process, they definitely put zero effort into the customer service aspect of the job. I appreciate those baristas that go the extra mile, Starbucks pays enough for what the job is and they have good benefits so stop complaining and do your job right and put a damn smile on your face and pretend you want to be at work making money. I normally wait about 30 minutes in store after having placed my mobile order 20 minutes before heading to the store and I’m so tired of being late for work due to a f’ing coffee. A lot of baristas seem scared to yell out customers names: during those busy times I cannot hear you whisper my name when music is playing, customers and employees are talking, espresso machines and blenders going off. I feel like Starbucks did a poor job on the recent renovation of this stand alone location. I won’t ever buy from this...
Read moreThe manager at this store is very unprofessional. First of all the inside of the store was closed due to lack of employees, which is more than likely due to her inefficiency as a manager. Secondly, when I asked for a general manager she refused to give the contact information and kept repeating herself saying she was the manager and she runs the store. I was like, is she incompetent or can't hear because everyone knows that a general manager would not be working the drive through, and that a general manager has total accountability over the store. I am so tired of people trying to act or make themselves seem more important when they are, trying to make decisions that ultimately hurts someone else's franchise or business. I feel so sorry for the future of America and their businesses because if we keep allowing people who lack the skills in professionalism and customer service to work without proper training, and then allowing them to be managers and lead others will leave America in dire straits. No wonder people are opening their own businesses and cooking at home to avoid this ignorance. If this manager made a decision to close the lobby and turn away patrons who walk in, she should be fired because as I stand here I have counted at least 15 customers go to the door and get in their car and leave because they don't want to go through the drive thru. Bad decision and poor managerial skills. This company just lost hundreds of dollars during the time they make most of their money. Demotion or firing should be considered for lying, refusing to give GM information, and for making a poor...
Read moreFive Stars for creating a place to meet colleagues for coffee and discuss strategies for saving the world!
But sadly, those days are long gone!
NO STARS for their insistence on sharing their unwelcomed, unsolicited and controversial, social and political opinions!
When it comes to hotly debated and often divisive, controversial social and policy issues, I would rather the staff stick to ensuring customer orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly instead of offering their unsolicited and unwelcomed corporate opinions emblazoned on my cup!
Overall, Starbucks, in my opinion, has steadily declined from a Five Star experience to an emotionally draining, negative One Star disappointment!
But hey, where else can you get a SIX DOLLAR coffee with the latest updates on in-depth social policy issues from an 18-year-old high-school dropout turned 'Barista'?
What's worse is they can't even articulate an intelligent conversation when asked about the position being advocated in their messaging.
These kids are about as informed on the current social and political climate as the recycled paper straw they use to shove another not-so-subtle message of global warming and climate change!
(Straws which, by the way, are practically useless when ordering any drink with mocha chips, salted caramel, coconut flakes, other add-ons, etc., because the dimension in the opening is too small to allow anything to flow into, other than fluid, and the length is too short to reach the bottom of the grande size with the bubbled top or any vente sized drinks. A...
